Forum Rules - Please Read before posting!

ATTENTION ALL NEWCOMERS

The Forum Marketplace has now been opened to all members of the forum to buy, sell or trade. Previously, 30 posts were required to access the Marketplace section. All transactions are the sole responsibility of the members involved in a transaction, though forum rules and regulations still apply. Please treat and deal with other members how you would expect to be treated yourself and happy trading!

GENERAL FORUM RULES

The rule infractions for the forum work on a percentage system, anyone breaking any of the forum rules will receive points to their warning bar. Only staff members (as well as yourself) can see what level your warning bar is at. Members will be notified by PM of any rule infractions they may incur and will be issued points to their warning bar. Any member reaching 50% or higher in their warning bar, will receive a 1 week suspension. Anyone hitting the 100% level will automatically be banned from the forum. The rules of the forum and weight of each infraction are listed as follows.

33% Minor Infraction:
• No cross posting or flooding to increase your post count.
• No posting of pictures that are not your own, without permission from the original owner.
• No posting in threads outside of the Marketplace that an item is available for trade, sale or wanted (Marketplace access is granted after you reach 30 non-spam posts).
• No posting of items for sale in the Marketplace without a price or complaining about others asking prices.
• When posting items for identification in the ID Marketplace, pictures with more than 5 items MUST have numbers beside each item for ease of reference.

40% Moderate Infraction:
• No posts containing excessive swearing, nudity, religion, politics, illegal activities, racism, sexual or homophobic remarks.
• No listing of items on Ebay that have been identified in the ID Marketplace before a 2 week waiting period.
• No posting of live Ebay auction links (or any other auction site such as Etsy, Ebid, Blujay, Amazon, etc.) other than your own in the appropriate Marketplace section. Expired auctions (you may want to wait 48 hours after expiration of the unsold item incase it is re-listed) and "Buy It Now" links are however permitted for forum discussion. The post MUST include a picture of the item as well as the price it was sold for. This is so the information is relevent when the link goes dead. Anything other than this will be automatically deleted.

60% Major Infraction:
• No trolling, baiting, flaming, harassing or basically instigating a fight with other members.
• No spam posts which means no posting ads or links to off-topic websites.


Please keep in mind that the offenses listed above and their warning levels may be altered or added to in the future by forum staff. The forum Admin and Moderators have final say on all warnings, suspensions and site bannings and may choose to deal with a situation on a case by case basis based on a member's past actions.

FORUM MARKETPLACE RULES

1. New members are not permitted access to the Action Figure Marketplace until they reach 30 Non-Spam posts. These sections include the Vintage and Modern Selling/Trading & Wanted sections, ID Marketplace, Ebay Auctions and Other Marketplace. Members should not be posting items for sale or for identification in any other sections of the Forum. Once a member has reached the 30 post mark, they will be granted access to the Marketplace categories and are then free to buy/sell/trade items or have them identified.

2. No complaints about prices for sellers items. Every seller has the right to charge what they want for an item and posting negative comments because of this is not allowed.

3. If your items have been sold, traded or aquired, please modify the header in your original post to reflect this, or delete the post all together. If you cannot for some reason, simply add the word "DELETE" to the title and the Moderators will delete it for you. This way nobody wastes time sending or replying with emails and PM's on items that are already gone. Any threads that have not been updated after 6 months or more from their last edit or post date, will be deleted (we will assume the list has been abandoned by the member).

4. The Marketplace has been split into two sections - "Wants" and "Sell & Trade". In each section, members will be allowed only one post, which they will need to update when they add/delete items to it. Anyone creating more than 1 post per section, will have their oldest thread automatically deleted.

5. All ID posts with pictures of unknown action figures, weapons and accessories are to be placed in the "ID Marketplace" section of the forum. This means that these items are first available for sale or trade to other members within the community for a minimum of 2 weeks before offered for outside resale (ie. Ebay). Members are still free to keep any items identified for their personal collections, but please state this if somebody expresses interest.

6. All Ebay auctions go in the "Ebay Auctions" section of the Marketplace. Please post an actual link to the item rather than just an item number. Remember to delete any of your Ebay posts once the auction has ended as this keeps the forum fresh for others looking for current auctions.

7. All other non action figure items or other collectibles for sale or wanted are to be posted in the "Other Marketplace" section of the forums.

8. Please post any trader ratings for members in the "Good & Bad Trader Feedback List". In order for feedback to count, it needs to be posted in this thread. For any disputes, their is the option to create a seperate post in the "Trader Review" section of the forums explaining your transaction with the other member in detail.

9. Please refrain from posting comments like "PM sent" in members Marketplace threads as this clutters the thread and makes it harder to read through. Instead simply PM or email the member directly, their is no need to tell them in the thread you have done so. If there has been no response to your PM within a reasonable time, please check as to when the seller was last on the forum before sending another to them. If the seller has been on multiple times since your PM, it may be that the item is either no longer available or they have a deal in the works but they need to finalize that aspect before responding.

KEEPING THE FORUM CLEAN & TIDY

On a final note, please keep the forum clean, tidy and easy to read by:

- Refraining from posting unnecessary comments that clutter threads (ie "PM sent" or "LMK if you decide to sell this").
- Updating your Marketplace threads with what has sold and what is still available.
- Deleting any dead links and pictures in your posts.
- Searching older threads before creating a new thread with a similar subject.
- Posting in the proper categories.
- Creating threads with proper descriptive titles.
- Posting one thread per member in the Rogues Gallery for each of these subjects - collection pictures, customs, recent finds and toy reviews.
- When posting in the ID Marketplace, once your item is identified, the thread will be renamed and moved to the appropriate section in the General Forum for future reference. If you intend on selling the item or if it is to stay as part of your collection, please advise one of the Moderators which, so it can be moved to the appropriate section of the forum.

The staff members here work very hard to keep the forum clean and up to date so its easier for everyone to read through. All we ask is that everyone does their part as well!
