The page to this figure line is now up on the archive: www.action-figures.ca/lost_world_warlord.htmWe had talked about this a bit in the Warrior Beasts thread, has anyone even seen a Journey Through Time Playset or a real pic? This is the only picture I have ever seen and it is a fake: It was from a guy who dealt with Meatybat & Treckmeyer on this board a few years back. It is actually Shung's Lair from Land of the Lost:

I would say it was never made. You would think one of us would have ran across one by now if it had, the way we all are always searching. What is the scale of that Land of the Lost set? It looks good for a Warlord set.

Not sure of the scale though, don't own the set. It does fit very well though. Yeah been hunting for Warlord stuff for years now and have never seen one

I looked it up, it appears to be on scale with the 3-3/4" to 4" figs. Too bad.

Yeah, the guy trying to sell it was a real scumbag so it seems. TKOM had mentioned before however that the playset was made, Rob have you got any further info on this? I know Meatybat mentioned it was supose to be a phone or something and included a Warlord figure.

other than being mentioned in print ive had no other concrete info on it. that pic was the only point of reference. its a shame that the pic is a fake. if anyone can find that land of the lost set to show what it looks like with figures that would be cool. but i guess with that we mark the warlord set in the maybe catagory. but remember were still looking for a castle of doom too. i know it exists it just hasnt popped up to the right poeple yet.

found him in a lot for sale and cannot place him or find pics. the picture is blurry as I re-sized it. Perhaps some of the professionals here would know him just by color.

Not really rare at all - in terms of the MOTU Knock-Offs, it's pretty much the most common.
But, it is rarer than most of the MOTU figures.

Think the horses are hard to find, especially in good condition. Figures don't seem too rare and a few are available in the trade/sell section.
It's a nice line.
Don't collect them it's just what I have come to believe.

I always liked how compatible they are with other remco figures like the conan line. I've never really seen a horse set, except the mikola one boxed and it was pretty expensive. i think its been floating around on ebay for a couple months now.

i have a near complete collection minus the horses and a few figures, this Toy Line is on the RARER side as of right now there are only 13 items listed on ebay
i would say the loose incomplete figures are worth 15-20 and the loose Complete figures $25 and up card figures $75 and up

Hey Ive got a Hercules and Deimos figure that have blown plastic chests instead of a solid hard plastic chest there both stamped Remco 1982 . Does anyone know if theres some kind of difference?

Do you have any comparison pics that you can post? Stumble... stumble. Couldn't help noticing the last conversation wasn't closed here (publicly). So on that chest-plastic quality variation: Probably not hugely noticeable in that particular image, but basically Machiste's body has been produced with the same 'waxy' softer plastic, much like the material used on first wave MOTU arms - oily, pock-marked and easily scratched or 'frayed'. A firm press suggests it's QUITE hollow as well. Anywahas - spot the difference COO/datestamp mark pic; That shot probably shows the plastic composition better. I have a quick, trivial question on Remco LWotW. Never had 'em in my parts as a kid, spent so much time staring at that comic advert (you know the one) and it wasn't until 2003 I even saw an actual photo of the figures online. I just wanted to know if the plastic colour discrepancies with heads and limbs was normal straight offa the card back then, or if it's more attributed to time/sunlight/humidity damage? Got my first Machiste hands-on a few days ago - and between his bronzed face, deep tan chest, dusky legs/left arm, and Kenyan right arm - he kinda' looks like he has four biological parents. All over he's pretty sweet nick tho, I just have to wonder was Remco really this loose with their plastic matching on the production line??

I took this photo on sunday at the retrorama show in Jacksonville. I had already spent $150.00 before I saw these. I enjoyed getting to see a few of these guys together but I think the prices were too high (please let me know if I am wrong). The ones with covered price tags ranged from $45 to $65 each.

I definitely woulda' jumped on Deimos if he was in front of me for that price. Mostly because I still need him, but also because of impulse when it's hassle free on the table like that. Might've contemplated Mikola & some others depending on my coin situation.

Reasonable prices I guess for the most part, but the yellow bubbles would have made me open them and for those prices, other than Deimos, I would have passed as well. Im a loose/complete collector anyway, so the MOC stuff is just exciting for minty loose figures for me. Thanks for sharing the pic, always cool to see this sort of thing.

Yep, those yellow bubbles make them openers for sure, they are a bit pricey though. With some searching each could be found for less on Ebay.

I've owned spawns of these and all you're gonna see is yellow bubbles. Especially with the LWOTW figs. You have a better probability of finding the Warior Beats with clear bubbles. Remco used such cheap plastic on the LWOTW figs and actually upgraded for the Warrior Beasts after the Warrior figs did fairly well. Awesome figs!

I had several of these as a kid...I remember Warlord, Deimos, Hercules, and Meikola. At some point, they vanished though. Wouldn't mind "re-collecting" a loose set at some point, especially if I can pick them up for $20-25 a pop.
