Where did your forum name come from

Some of you have pretty interesting "handles" here on the boards, just wondering if there is a story behind your user name - where did it come from?

Mine is pretty much what it sounds like, a lame ass sexual joke. When I first signed up on Ebay I couldn't think of a good name (or all the good ones were taken), so I came up with 10incher. Have been using it ever since. It was tough finding an unused name on Ebay then, I can't imagine what it would be like today!

Mine comes from He-man.org I couldn`t find a cool name si I just went with prince adam`s first name followed by the year I signed up there and found it easiest to use this handle everywhere so I don`t forget!! I have a few accounts on other furums for the simple fact I couldn`t remember user names I have used!! it`s more like a routine now!!! hehe

Born in 1976 as well, and "Dr Bo" come from not quite a child nickname, but from a teen one.

I'm French Canadian and my nickname is "Bonhomme" which mean something like "good fellow", but it's hard to translate, so I shrunk it to Bo. Since it was too short, I added the Dr, which now sound like some DJ or rap-buddy name. Anyway...

I've never been good at picking user names. I've been using shaxper since 1999, just because I've never bothered to think of anything better. At the time, I was a huge Shakespeare nut. I still love his stuff, but I was obsessed back then and was planning to become a Shakespeare scholar. My mentor's license plate was "shaxper" (an early spelling of his ancestors' last name), so I took it when I was signing up for my first Hotmail account and didn't feel like using my old username anymore.

Prior to shaxper, I was known as burtok (on aol back in the mid-1990s) and staffell (on bbses prior to the World Wide Web).

Mines from being into Death metal and underground music , and being a huge history nerd , It's a word from a lost language , even though its original meaning is way different from what it became , it's basically the pre-cursor to the word illusion, allot of old words get messed up , like the word weird for instance it came from the word wyrd which the best way I can explain it , Wyrd was like the Force from star wars , everything is connected , and in Germanic mythology Wyrd was the fibers of the universe , everything was entangled and connected by these fibers,

my name's from way back when ebay first offered user ids. I always thought Cap was an icon in superhero circles: a character that represented certain virtues beyond the normal 'he's a badass'. So I took it and it's stuck ever since.

I used to have a band called Dirtnapp. A friend's band wrote a song, and couldn't think of a name. So they called it Kyle from Dirtnapp. They claim it had nothing to do with me, they just needed a name. It was a pretty popular local song, so I was branded forever with that moniker.

I have a character I wrote a script called Phillip spankweasel. he's a PI, on the case of a mad scientist. well spankweasel became my handle cause it sounds dirty but isn't and I wanted to have a movie. so that when people when to the theater they may have to ask for "two tickets to see phillip spank weasel."
