i used to collect all types of shit. but it all kind of worked its way into action figure financing. collections that have survived the purge are: dc comics (both regular issues and hardcover/tpb collections) vintage comic strips and comic books collected into hardcover format (i.e., EC Comics, Walt Kelly stuff, Li'l Abner & Shmoo, etc) soakie bottles japanese vinyl toys (mostly kaiju, sentai style vinyls, and modern pocket/fight figures) promotional drinking glasses (hardees, pizza hut, mcdonalds glasses mostly)

when i'm not buying toys, i'm buying punk/metal/weirdo records, posters, old glass bottles, weird chemistry glass, vintage halloween stuff, b-movie and horror vhs tapes, interesting old electronics (only what i can salvage, i don't buy it), cereal boxes, and all kinds of other random junk. i will be a junk picker for life i suppose.

He he nice reading what you guys collect.
Well i suppose i only collect vintage Star Wars mocs and boxed ESB stuff . But the od vintage SW thing comes in once in a while.
And other stuff i just want , like some space Playmobi or the old space ray gun i just picked up :-)
Other then stuff like Danish design like lamps and furniture. I have a soft spot for vintage wooden hangers. I hate plastic hangers and all my hangers are made of wood. Here in scandinavia it was custom to put your business logo on a hanger. So i have a lot of hangers from hotels, cleaners , venues , the government and other wird stuff and places. I use them for my clothes so it is a working collection . I have never paid for any of them . I just pick em up when i find em thoug my work. ( I work with Theater ) My favrite one is an very ugly and bad made hanger wich has Made in DDR printet on it and the name Radeck written on it. When i bump into it i always think of the old east / west germany .

SEGA Master System games... apparently. Hardly earth's greatest of my old consoles but I cleared out a cupboard and it was like, "Woah, how'd I accumulate so many?" Scary, like when you walk into your action-figure room and suddenly think, "what're you all looking at?" Ahem... and comics, unsurprisingly.
Also my gal and I spent a few years collecting stuff off the beach, shells, wood, transformed glass, etc. even a few time-worn action figure limbs, some damn creepy starfish, plus one barnacle and rust coated knife that looks like it belongs in a Lovecraft story. It all looks quite effective when displayed.

Speaking of soul, I started collecting 45s from the early '80s. I have very few at the moment but I especially focus on some pop, hip hop , and rap. So if anyone has some, don't throw them out. The ones I have so far were pretty easy to get at the goodwill.

I guess I collect empty boxes and bubble mailers, bubble wrap and foam peanuts. They're taking up more room than my toys!

I also collect old school Japanese daikaiju, tokusatsu, and similar films. Ive nearly completed my set of US-release Toho & Daiei DVDs (all WS w/ subs where possible). ;D Now I have to start filling in the holes with imports & "aftermarkets" i guess, since i doubt films like Gorath, Daigoro vs Goliath, and The Human Vapor will be relased domestically anytime soon. I guess I collect empty boxes and bubble mailers, bubble wrap and foam peanuts. They're taking up more room than my toys! Same here, my basement looks like the stockroom at Mailboxes, Etc.

Antiques! If you think there is a lot to know about action figures, try starting to learn about antiques! I don't buy knick-knaks and stuff like that, I am into furniture and other everday stuff that I can replace my cheepo modern plastic stuff with.

Technically, comic books...but not in a collector sense. I just read 'em and enjoy 'em. I'm not super hardcore about following certain writers, artists, or whatever.
Toys keep me busy enough!
Oh...I do collect my own toenail clippings, though? Anyone wanna see?

other than toys i use to seriously collect records mostly of the slightly obscure new wave goth and punk genre and also vintage rockabilly and doo wop. but now more of that stuff has finally come into print on cd and i mostly just collect the music itself now in digital format.
i also collect press kit photos of bands i like. and some film press kit photos and lobby cards.
i also have probably 40 band posters and a few film posters and nowhere to put them.
i have a display case with a collection of small anatomy skeletons and skulls.
and for some reason i have an obsesseion of sorts with the 70s san francisco punk scene and collect anything i can find with info or pics of that place and time.
