Thought the hero figures of this series are kinda lame, I keep stumbling acroos villians from the series that are starting to grow on me. Most of the villiansare actuall pretty cool figures, especially Venemous Skumm. I thnk I may have to pick up a few of these guys. Kinda remind me of Toxic Crusaders.

I think these will appreciate in value over time. In part because of their lameness. I have younger friends that know the theme song by heart. So ten years from now expect to get 10 to 15 bucks for good carded example of CP and 5 bucks each for everybody else. Except for the rare 3rd series those will be HUGE! If there was a rare 3rd series?

was actually an auction about 6 months ago maybe? with 30 oe so hoggish figures in it. I believe someone probably had a case of them from an outlet store and their kids must have opened them and played with them all. might be from the same seller. i never saved the auction thoug

Go to Funny or Die and look at Don Cheadle as Captain Planet. You'll die laughing.

Wow, im suprised anyone remembers captain planet. I use to watch it back in the early ninties on TBS. I had no idea there was even any figures for them. Some of the villians were really ugly though, i guess thats a plus for any toy line.

Sigh... at the risk of embarrassing myself. Who's this? Please spare me the wedgie, I know it's Cap Plan, but it seems like finding a complete comprehensive checklist is a bit difficult. Loads of variants on our Captain: Exploding Meteor Captain, Light & Thunder Captain, Arctic, All-American, Color Change, Pollution Armor, and so on. (plus foreign market stuff) Couldn't find any visual references to 'Spray Tan Vitamin C' Captain Planet however. I'm not about to start collecting these (random score from a veggie market this), but you know how it is, it WILL bug me... Attachments:

I thought the toys were kinda lame, but the tv show was awesome!! they should have included more OOZE and stuff. that would have been cool, or more accessories.

Most things are appreciated with time. Time is value

Most things? Not Captain Planet! They will be worth about 50 cents carded in a few years, unless hipsters somehow latch onto them ironically. I can think of a lot of things that have not appreciated in value, and Captain Planet figures are up there. The villains are ok. Ish. Toxic Crusaders are better--at least they're based on an R-rated property and the show was not portraying itself as anything other than being played strictly for cheap laughs.
I kinda like the toxic sludge dump playset. I kinda like any slime playset, but this one is the best kind of pointless. You walk into the front door of a toxic sludge plant and immediately fall into a pit of toxic sludge. SWEET. I remember a Turtles playset that looked like a pizza stand but then the facade dropped and it launched a bucket of ooze into your hero's face. That was almost as inspired. I mean, if you go to a pizza place you expect to get pizza. If you stand there while the front of the building falls down and then a heavy cannon falls into place, that's on you. Now if you're an ecological superhero and you walk through the front door of a Toxico plant, you shouldn't be surprised that there's a pit of green toxic gelatin waiting for you on the other side.
