This book looks great! I've seen it on Ebay before and I think it was actualy available through Previews at one point. Too bad it was so freaking expensive. I can't remember exactly how much it was...I want to say $60ish, but it was too much to be justified It looks like HLJ has it for $30 that's not too bad, but it's on backorder

Gort , you're right. Maybe it was just a temporary thing. HLJ are good people, so if you really want it I'd go that route. If any one does pick it up, let us know how it is.

Just got the book in yesterday, it is a must have for anyone into Gobots or robots for that matter. It is crammed full of pics of everything from Machine Robo as well as US released Gobots & Rocklords. There is a ton of stuff that wasn't released in the USA! It even comes with a DVD, though not sure it will work on my DVD player.

I'm really tempted to get this, but I know if I do I'll just end up wanting more Gobots Is the text all in Japanese? And how about the DVD (if you get it to play)?

Most of the text is in Japanese though there are a few words in english like the years of release, figure names (at least the USA released ones that I can remember). I will have to try the DVD though it is region 2. If you buy the book, you will be on Ebay 10 minutes later searching for GoBots!

I bought two starscreams today, one Is the official G1 and the other has F-15 & kingdam6 written on the wings, grey tail fins and an orange cockpit cover. Is this the super gobot or a machine robo?

It's from the Popy/Bandai line Machine Robo (the Japanese origin of Gobots); that is MR-43 Hot Rod Robo who was re-painted as Street Heat

One of the best sites from the UK is counter - x.net the guys got some great reviews and info about all the lines. Have a few of these myself. I've got Loco, Carry All (Robo Machine version of Twin Spin), Night Ranger, Road Ranger, Tank Bust (called Bad Boy in Gobots)...I've recently bought a black/green/grey later issue Cykill and a Twin Spin complete with his elusive blades...my Carry All only has one rotor blade at present...need to find another - any help?
I like the size of these guys. I like to think of them all as ROBO MACHINE as thats not only a better name than the babyish Gobots Tonka coined but was how they were released in the UK, I originally had COP TUR as a kid and that was about it back then....lol. Depending on prices I would like to buy more...a UK seller on ebay had 3 listed with no bids and I offered her £13 all in and she then wanted payment via paypal as a gift AND an extra £3 which was asking for more and more so I left it....she had relisted them as the previous buyers didn't pay...she was annoying to say the least. They'll probably sell at the same start listed price now and she'll have to sell - serves her right for asking me too much!
Theres also a yellow petrol tanker cg with lights too....
