If so, what scale? Id love to see some done in scale with MOTU Classics. But id also love to see something the size of marvel legends so we could get some awesome vehicles and playsets out of the line! I'm hoping the movie that is in the works will create a new fan base among the younger ones of today so maybe we can get a big line rolling! I would honestly buy every figure, probably every variant/repaint/remold also.

Having finally finished the Wildstorm comic T-Cats offerings recently i know id be interested. Im not sure id want them at 6 - 7'' in height but there are plenty that do. Id prefer to see them in the 1:18th scale myself.

You know as a guy that really , TRULY appreciates articulation in action figures and wont buy any action figures without what i deem to be adequate articulation.....
This hyper articulation demand is starting to wear thin on me as well.
There really isnt any strong need on my part to have anything more than what teh 1980's swivel arm GI Joe figures boasted. I DO need swivel biceps and some type of ball hips. I DONT need articulated fingers, ankles and wrist. I DO need a hinge elbow and knee joint. I DONT need a double hinge elbow and swivel.
Simple but effective is just fine.

i agree 100%. the coolest thing about thundercats and heman back then was the fact that you could actually PLAY with them. it wasnt some 90 points of articulation monster that required 10 min to pose. i loved the fact that toys used to fall off rooftops, down stairs, and get dumped into mudd, and at he end of the day they didnt brake most of the time haha. i cant imagine what kids today think when they play with a 25th anniv joe, it feels like toothpicks to me. articulation is killing toys.

Sorry, I'm just wicked excited. I've wanted this since I was 5, and it was amazing to finally see a picture of the first line up from the new thundercats toys. As far as I've read, the pics have been removed from online. But when they were available there was:
Lion-o Panthro Cheetara Tygra
Thundertank
Sky Lynx (some kind of motorbike)
Sword of Omens 1:1 scale (but small not extended)
They loook good, although the animation has Panthro being much larger than the rest of the team, and Liono looks rather young. Still amazing to see! I can't wait for official images at Toyfair!

Hoo-whee!!! Been waiting to see something image-wise in regards to both the new cartoon and the toys. I'm kinda diggin' the new look...at least for now...gotta see the show for final judgement. Can't wait to see Mumm-Ra!!! In specific regards to the toys...too blurry to say...I've been trying to cut back on my modern toy collecting, but if these turn out to be really cool, I just may partake...as long as they aren't nine bucks a pop or something like that.

a 3-3/4 line and a 6" line for the new series and a "classic" style line in 8" scale. Can't ask for a better treatment IMO.

Yeah its a gun, theres another pic up that shows Tygra in the background with a gun in one hand and a whip in the other. I don't mind too much, it does kind of add to his character if maybe he's got a six shooter or something haha. I can't wait to see the eventual Cats lair

I saw a vintage Sword of Omen sell on eBay not long ago for $41. Can uh, somebody explain this to me?
I've also seen complete Lion-O's go for close to $100.

when it comes to bandai, the first thing i think of is collectiondx. found this little bit of coverage via their site: www.collectiondx.com/article/toy_fair_2011_bandai_thundercatsi must say, though i haven't seen a new line of toys that has awed me in awhile, these look great. i don't know why, but i really like the snarf! he's gone cutesy in a hole new direction, almost pokemon inspired.

I recently got the two 8 inch classics figures of Tygra and Lion-o and they are AWESOME! The four inch figures are a LOT smaller than I guess I had thought they would be, but their designs are very well done, and they work for the scale they are intended to be. I have yet to get any of the 6 inch scale, but I think I probably will if they seem to be making more of these guys. I HIGHLY recommend this toyline to anyone who likes the new show or is on the fence about them.
The two classics figures I've gotten so far are easily my favorite new toys of the past few years.

Caught some at K-Mart a few days ago! Didn't even have an official spot yet. I dunno...I have yet to truly see the show. Due to fate conspiring against me, I'm unable to watch the show. I did see half an episode in my hotel room while on vacation last week. Seemed pretty cool, from what I saw. I've been kinda disappointed by modern toys lately...a feeling that's grown quite immense. I still collect whatever scraps we get from the GI Joe line and Transformers Generations, but that's it. Part of me wants so bad to collect something else! I love Thundercats and generally have no real complaints about the new designs. I kinda wanna get 'em even though I don't watch the show, but know I shouldn't be spending the extra moolah these days! I'd probably only focus on the smaller dudes if I do decide to collect these. I almost bought a set of the first wave...ooh, so close!!! I put 'em back, though. What can I say? I guess I'm still a fence-sitter for this line.

Aw naw, playa!!! I knew it...I freakin' knew I'd give in! Dammit! We had been resetting the toy modulars at my Wal-Mart this week. The action figure aisle got done over night and I walked in to see the deluxes and the Sword of Omens roleplay weapon. No four inchers, yet...but I was so, oh so distracted ALL DAMN DAYYYYY at work...all day! No one even works there to put the new stuff out. They sent one guy over, but he got pulled away...they sent another associate over hours later...again, nuthin'...I knew we'd never see them for another week. On my day off, ran to another Wal-Mart for "fun"...had a helluva trip in general and a horrible day! Apparently, mine is the only Wal-Mart in the county with new Thundercats on the Fall modular! What gives?! I was so frustrated about life, in general, today...I found the whole catalog at a remodeling TRU. Yessss! No discount, but HAD to have them...needed something to cure my personal woes. Wrangled me a Lion-O, Tygra, Panthro, Cheetara, and Mumm-Ra in the basics, and a Grune in the deluxes...yeah, deluxe Lion-O and Tygra looked sucky...and Mumm-Ra just funny and gimmick-dominated. I'll wait. Ended up getting the Thundertank as well as all three smaller vehicles. Damn! Gave the ol' tarjeta de credito a real workout today...yipe! Eh, don't care anymore...just glad to get into a new line after sooo long. Probably not a good idea on many fronts, but who's keeping score? In general, yeah, very cool...had my reservations, though. Still worried about the joints getting sticky and the paint rubbing over time, but we'll see.
Two main "friendly warnings"...Panthro doesn't fit nicely in the Thundertank...which is a HUGE let down...an epic fail, if you will. Cheetara's leg articulation is just as sucky as you feared by seeing the preview pics...*sigh*...why?!

I agree these figures are wicked cool, and I've decided not to get the Thundertank right now for just that reason. Im hoping we get a new version of the Thundertank down the road with room in the pack and a nice cockpit size. So far I've got Cheetara, Wily Kay, then classics Lion-o and Tygra, and the Lizard w/vehicle set. Really fun toys, and FINALLY a new toyline with somewhat durable plastic.

Someone returned the Comic Con LION-O to my Toys r Us so I was happy to save shipping and get my discount. I like the deluxe except for the sword being really soft rubber and Tygra looking like he just drank a saucer of cream and is lactose intolerant . He just looks a little bloated for someone that's supposed to be fleet of foot is all I'm sayin , lol .

so, what's up with these? i haven't been able to find them in any stores. ebay sellers have been flipping them for like $15 to $20 each (the 4" line)! and they are selling at those prices. are these just inpatient buyers, or should i be jumping on these prices before they get ridiculously higher?

Eh, chalk it up to impatience...Toys R Us and KMart seem to be carrying them for sure...but only some Wal-Marts, which is weird yet believable for Wally World. I'm not sure about Target. I mean, you never know, but I'd wait to find 'em at retail.

Think they will be high now, and might drop. If you don't care about the first releases then you can probably wait. But I got some real trouble with some clone wars figures :/ c3po seems hard to come buy under 30$

It's strange that they didn't have these figures out before the debt of the new show. This has got to be a mistake on Bandai for not having these available at the proper time. I guess it's a learning process for them?
