Hmmm, didn't notice a thread devoted to the "mini" Masters of the Universe style knock offs I occasionally see or hear about...... ....I'm really into the MotU knock offs these days...I'm trying to focus my vintage toy collecting on them. I've actually been avoiding the smaller scale ones just so my brain doesn't blow a gasket, but ehhhhh, screw it! I ended up trading toys for one of 'em, and coincidentally was at an antiques and collectibles store when out of the blue I scored these: Whoopie! Whatta find! Well, at least I think so...I usually hafta rely on ol' eBay 'cause I don't have many flea markets or auction sites in my area, nor do I grace many thrift stores. I go to this one store in a slightly out-of-the-way mall a few times a year and usually don't come up with any significant finds...nothing truly rare in my eyes...but these buggers are great. Yeah, at least three were probably meant to be wrestlers, but since they sport the furry undies and boots along with fanasty-style warrior belts and arm bands...they can easily be barbarian warrior heroes.

Here one is with his bigger cousin...... One is clearly a Hulk Hogan rip-off...the other is like a blonde mini version of the Superfly Jimmie Snooka knock off...the other brown haired guy? Not sure...not a big wrestling fan. I guess I'll call him Poopcheeks! The other guy is clearly a straight-up fantasy style warrior. Unlike the others, he hasn't any leg articulation and is slightly smaller.

Hey, and if these little buggers need rides...no need to get jealous! Defenders of the Planets pets make great beast mounts! Keep on truckin'!!!

These guys work well as companions to your Other World figures...even though they are a totally different style of figure...but hey, General Esse Gee needs an army, right! He is a general...and he's got no troops! Curse you Arco, but now I've foiled you!!! So, anybody else got some MotU minis they wanna share?

MOTU minis, v cool. I only have standard size KOs and a Baltard style clip-on. (pic in different thread) But on the subject of Other World, found what looks like a Baby Gaifand KO. It has th' same details as Gaifand, the horns, heads, tail, arms & legs are based the same. But it has no manufacturer name just an eagle logo, and Hong Kong. I'm sure some of my other figures have an Imperial 'crown' logo with an 'eagle' next to it. So maybe it's Imperial. Attachments:

that is an incredible dragon!! i'm really flip my shit when new rubber dragons turn up (something tells me mr countzackula will be foaming at the mouth over this one too, unless he already has it.) Other World is one of my favorite series, because every generic rubber beastie ever made seems to go with them. if you ever want to trade this or any other rubber creatures, please let me know.

Heh, really neat dragon...is he a bendie figure or just solid plastic/rubber? I actually had a vinyl eagle toy as a child. I believe it was by Imperial. It had hard plastic feet and it's head was a separate piece. Sadly, I no longer have it, but when I first got ahold of a vintage Kontory the body sculpt seemed so damn familiar....the eagle I used to have was the exact same sculpt only the wings were molded pointing straight upwards (the eagle toy had an elastic string in the back...for flapping action). Howzabout that? Funny how toy companies just reuse or straight-up rip off other figure molds/sculpts eh?

Just realized this a week or so ago...dude, mini alternate color Warlord bootleg! I had seen this little red and green helmeted guy many times...just got one (finally) not to long ago! I didn't realize 'til afterward...but they totally lifted the Warlord head design...sans wings! Ha ha ha...can't believe I never noticed. We usually see these mini guys based off of Galaxy Warrior/Fighter characters or wrestlers...heck, I've even seen MotU minis, but this is the only Remco character done in mini-bootleg style. Neat.

Everyone needs a little He-Man in their life....and a little Skeletor, too! I mean that quite literally as seen here: Whee hee hee! Little weenie-sized versions of your favorite MOTU headliners! Bootlegs, techincally, but who's keeping score, eh? I've seen these every once in a while...finally got a hold of some. Just got the He-Man a couple days ago...now my mini-Skeletor has someone to fight. I've seen these come with mini power swords and armor...strangely, only the Skeletor armor was used (He-Man's was just colored red). Mine, sadly, are incomplete. They have the miniature Muscle Warriors-style body. He-Man is made of hard plastic with articulated neck, waist, and shoulders. The Skeletor figure is different...maybe a bootleg of a bootleg? Yeah, his detail and sculpt are a little less crisp. He's made of a softer, more rubbery material. He's mostly solid, too...only his shoulders are articulated. Okay, mini bootlegs of He-Man and Skeletor...check...did "they" make any other MOTU characters in this form? Who knows?! Please share if you do. Now, onto the MOTU cousin...Princess of Power. Admittedly, I'm not much of a She-Raver...never was...I did watch the old cartoon, but never had any figures, not even in my adult collector years. All that pastel plastic and faux lace apparel make me wanna puke...no offense to the fans, mind you...just my opinion. At any rate, here's a She-Ra mini bootleg...I guess. She's sandwiched between the mini bootlegs of He-Man and Skeletor for comparison. No markings. Her neck, waist and shoulders move. Her cape, skirt, and face thingie are removeable! Sadly, I lost one of the reflective stickers somehow in the short time I owned it (got it along with the little He-Man). Here she is shucked down to the bare figure. Yeah, the face/head is totally not even close to She-Ra...and she uses way too much make-up...that tarted up little hussy!!! At first, the quality on mini bootleg She-Ra seemed nice...I mean, look at the removeable accessories! I thought she might be from some miniature playset I didn't know about. Doubt it...tried looking into it, and nuthin'...hmph! Like I said, not much of a POP fan...I'm more of a knock off fan...like Golden Girl and such. So, if anyone has any info on little She-Ra, please enlighten the masses!

The Mini Skeletor + He-Man are indeed bootlegs, the She-Ra is official merchandise (came bagged, a friend has that one MISB). The Mini Skeletor + He-Man are missing their accessoires.
In this form these are the only ones I know.

So, mini She Ra...was she just bagged? I mean, was their anything special about her...a promotion of some kind...part of some premium set? If you know, of course...any chance anyone has a pic of the mini She Ra in her package? Was also wondering if she came with weapons or if they made her some companions.

Just got these small-scale MotU bootlegs in today! Yip-yip yahooey!!! I had seen some like these in the past but they'd always slipped through my fingers...and now I got 'em in my grimy clutches. All the hallmarks of a hardcore bootleg...the really crappy, homemade, made of melted crayons and nail polish kind of bootlegs. They don't seem to be based off of an official MotU toy mold that has been re-sized. These guys are about 3 and a half inches with rotating shoulder joints. Oh, so thick 'n' chunky! I love these little tidbits to death. I was lucky to score 'em all at once. Honestly, these have been the best I've seen like this...most I've spied in the past had most of their (probably toxic) paint worn off. They each seem to have their own unique sculpt too...uh, sorta. I'm wondering if these five were the only ones in this style? In case you can't tell, they are modeled after He-Man, Stratos, Man-At-Arms, Skeletor, and Beastman. Here's a line-up and comparison shot with some other MotU knock offs and/or bootlegs... If the odd super-deformed, chunky bodies don't make you giggle enough...the weird effeminate hand postures on each figure make for some good time fun. The French Mistake, anyone? God, send me dancers!!!

Figured I'd cram this guy into this thread...here we go, just happened to finally nab one of these. I've seen similar figures around. I've seen people try to ID 'em with no luck. Does anyone know what the Heck these are?! Made of solid vinyl with no articulation. Has a hole in his hand to hold removeable weapon...also made of vinyl. Pretty sturdy! Looks like there is a painted-over manufacturer's mark on the back of his thigh (maybe). I consider these MotU knock offs, but maybe they're meant to be something else. He looks like a cross between DC's (or Remco, if you go by the toy aspect) Warlord and MotU's Stratos. I've seen other styles, but want to know if the line had a name or not and if possible find out any packaging style. He's a little over three inches tall, but here's a comparison shot with some similar-sized figures...Heroes de la Galaxia, Treasures of Those Lost Temples, and Other World. Let's get to the bottom of this mystery......please?

Because I have nothing else better to do, right now...howzabout another update! Here's a few freaks added to the mini MOTU KO pile. Granted, these are probably meant to be wrestlers, but they pass as "warriors" in my eyes due to their odd loin apparel. The one guy is another version of the Baltard-head guy and his body mate is a mustachioed fella with an eye patch. Both have that Treasures of Those Lost Temples bodies. I'd ove to see what packaged examples would look like. The smaller dude is obviously a clear-cut wrestler...a mini bootleg of a big KO that used a MOTU KO body...hmmm...huh. He is slightly smaller than others of his ilk. Although it looks like their SHOULD be articulation...there is not. The neck, maybe, but I think mine might have been glued. Either that, or it's jammed in there really well. Eh...enjoy 'em............

so, i just got this dude off of the bay. the listing states it is 3" tall. is that roughly the size of the warlord ko you posted cz? body style looks like a miniaturized galaxy heroes. anyone have any new info on these, or are we still assuming another nameless ko? does anyone know if any 3" scale motu ko's had armor? i'd like to get some for this guy, even if not authentic.

sweet! thanks for the info hook up! i was aware of the treasures of those lost temples line, but only of the ones talked about earlier in the thread, with the cheaply jointed legs. never liked those so i never went back to that thread to learn that there was later talk of the unjointed leg finds. the armor from those pics looks awesome. hoping to find some sometime.

What's interesting about the mini modulok is are the heads are Two Bad heads not Modulok heads.
So what are the die cast motu knock offs called?
