Congrats on the arrow!! I have the bow and string, but I figure coming upon 3 arrows loose, just won't happen quickly. I think I'm better off just buying a new figure. of course, i need to get him cheap! On another note, I just scored the batcopter MIB!!!! The guy wasn't getting the type of bids he thought he would, so I offered him a price, and he decided he would sell to me on the spot, and take down his auction. Once I get those things in the mail, I'm complete!!!!! Congrats man! That's awesome. You're right on the arrows. I have rarely seen GA's accessories in any form or fashion on eBay over the past 3-5 months. You're best bet is an MIB that has it's packaging completely busted up.

FINALLY!!
Just won an auction that contained the Samurai's sword. It was a loose Samurai w/ sword & no cape and a loose Tyr w/ no arm. Went for $20 w/ shipping.
Once that gets in, my loose collection will be complete!! *whew!*

I thought Green Arrow only had 2 arrows. I just gave my friend a carded one and it had 2 taped the side of the blister. I have an extra bow, I have to see if I have any arrows.

I think you are right. I just got a carded green arrow to complete my set officially, and it had only 2 arrows that I can see in the bubble.

I know, i'm working on it. We just moved in a month ago, and are still unpacking. I almost got all my shelves up, and then I can display everything. once I get that done, then I'll show it off through some pics. Give me at least another week, maybe two!

I've always wanted that Tower of Darkness. Wonder who owns the prototype these days (and what he would sell it for!).
I'm a huge Super Powers junkie. They were my favorite toys growing up, and the Hall of Justice is still proudly displayed (open and set up) in the middle of my hobby room. I still think it's one of the best playsets ever designed. It leaves me wondering what other amazing playsets the series might have produces if it had kept going.

I've always wanted that Tower of Darkness. Wonder who owns the prototype these days (and what he would sell it for!). I've done quite a bit of research on the Tower of Darkness playset over the years. To date, I can confirm at least 4 prototype examples of the playset were created with 3 of those 4 examples still existing today in private collections. The single unaccounted for example is the one shown in the '86 Kenner Toy Fair catalog (the only example of the four with blue hands). I haven't been able to confirm that it still exists unfortunately. Four unpainted first shot head portions of the playset exist, one of which is showcased at the following link on my website (http://www.kennersuperpowers.com): www.kennersuperpowers.com/spprotos/tofdhead.htmlTwo packaging labels surfaced years back. I was fortunate to obain one of the two for my collection; that example may be viewed at the following link: www.kennersuperpowers.com/spprotos/towerofdarknessboxlabel.htmlAdditional prototypes related to the packaging and design process of the playset exist as well. Overall, I think the Tower of Darkness is arguably one of the single most appealing unproduced toys from any toy line. I hope thread participants enjoyed the information and photos shared in this thread. -Mike

As far as the value on the carded El Capitan Ray on eBay, I think the seller's opening price is definitely within the range of value for this piece. The card condition on this example looks fairly nice and I've seen other examples sell for more than $300 in the past (not always, but on more than one occassion). It will be interesting to see what price this one closes at if it receives bids.

I know this has probably been discussed before, but if it was I can't find it. Is there a Hulk that fits in well with this line and/or Secret Wars? I just got my Toy Biz (?) Riddler that fits in almost seamlessly. A Hulk would be nice. Also, how about a Punisher? I saw a cool one, but he had no gun! And another was smiling!?! What the Hell good is a Punisher without a gun or a scowl?

My recent obsession has been finishing my Super Powers figure and mini-comic collection. Last week I got the last 2 minis I needed. I've been scanning them as I got them and now I have the complete set scanned as well.

I POSTED THE LIST OF SUPER POWERS I GOT ON ANOTHER THREAD. BUT I PICKED UP A HALF-WAY DECENT LOOSE SHAZAM C7, W/O CAPE FOR 50 CENTS TODAY. I'M BUILDING THIS SET LITTLE BY LITTLE. I HAVE A LOOSE HALL OF JUSTICE, BUT I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT'S MISSING, I'LL HAVE TO PULL IT OUT AND LOOK.
P.S. SORRY ABOUT THE ALL CAPS, MY CAPS BUTTON IS BROKEN AND HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THE SHOP FOR REPAIRS.

I definitely collect this line, when I can. I used to have more than I do now,but at least I have the complete first series. Outside of not having to have the mini comics with each figure, this is one line where,if I go to buy one,my rectum is pretty puckered up. I want zero defects with the original accessories. I have bought packaged ones to open, just so I know the figure more than likely won't have any defects. It's one line,at least for me,where you can't just go to ebay and build a complete collection in a day or two like say,Congo The Movie .

Patience, Josh. I didn't pay more than $7 for any loose complete fig. I got lucky with a few, and don't have some of the harder-to-find ones, but good things come to those who wait.

Josh, your best bet is to hold out for a decent lot on Ebay, then fill in the holes by picking up individual figures. I have noticed that SP lots on Ebay aren't as affordable as they used to be though.

Definately the batcopter. It is rare. Everything else comes up pretty regularly, even the supposedly rare figures and the justice jogger. That batcopter though, it's tough to find. There was an incomplete one missing the grappling hook nose, that was about 50 dollars a few months back. I should have bid on it back then, but i had no cash at the time. Treck- In the late 80's early 90's when Kenner reacquired the batman Lic. form Toybiz they releases a batman movie line and in that line they recycled the Superpowers batcopter. The coloring was different (all Black ) but it can be a good source for replacement parts if you ever run across a less than complete. Anyway I am almost complete with the Super Powers US and Canada figures.. I only need HTF ones from series 3 Samurai, Golden Pharaoh and Cyborg... I was bidding on a Super Amigos Riddler once but after it crossed the $250 price point I stopped bidding. This line is my favorite of all time because the design, detail, play value # of characters and Accessories is the closet any super hero line has come to a Star Wars or GI Joe type of line (although in a much smaller scale) Anyway The Justice League Unlimited line comes a close second as far as super hero lines, if only they could come out with more vehicles and playsets..... GOOD HUNTING!

Can anyone tell me if the capes for the Toy Biz Robin and Superman are the same for the Kenner Super Powers Robin and Superman....i have the Toy Biz figures and want the Super Powers figures to replace them, but would much rather buy them cheap without the capes and just swith them out....thanks

The Super Powers line was the first line I ever collected when I was a wee one. Now I'm trying to collect it again. I currently have Lex Luther and the Flash.

Man, I regret how rough I was as a kid on my Superpowers. Looking back, they're really v cool. Action-features in 3-3/4" lines just never seem to survive 's well 's say Norris or Motu. I only have Kalibak & Firestorm today. I also passed up a super cheap carded Wonder Woman years back. Grrr. I think my faves were Cyclotron and Samurai for some reason.

I know there was a line that was prepped and ready to go but never released, one of the figures was Vigilante. Came with an oversized .357. I can't remember what others were in that line, I saw a photo a few years ago of the poster of the upcoming figures but can't find it. Anyone know who else was going in that line? I didn't see any links on any other posts if it was covered previously.

The Super Powers line in the 80's was cool, I still have a Batman figure that I use to take all over and pretend to take him on adventures.
Good days.

Picked up a cheap bunch the other day from a store- Desaad, Darkseid & Tyr - nuthin' special, but I love Darkie's glow-eyes effect. Apart from like POTF Jawa, what figures have that eye design? It's so simple but effective... heh, as a kid I always thought of Desaad as 'that other Mr. Freeze'. Seriously, I still think he was a weird choice to include in the line.

There definitely were some strange choices in this line. As kid I only had the basic Justice League figures and those are the same ones I'm hunting down now. I just picked up a complete Batmobile this past weekend. Now I need to find a cape for my Robin.

rihia - Some figures from The Shadow line have the glow eye effect. and a Scarecrow figure from Batman (animated series I think) ...and perhaps the best, the Redlen Tree from Inhumanoids.
