I guess they are not actually "action figures" but what the hell. My wife collects them but shes not very hardcore about them. Usually whenever she finds them cheap while I am figure hunting. Man, there are allot of these guys but at least they don't take up much space.
Come on guys, i know someone else out there collects these. I was at a yard sale a few weeks ago and a guy had a bunch of Smurf stuff for sale (he didn't want to sell his figures though, just the games, plush crap & puzzles). I never heard of any other guys that are into these.

Azreal & Gargamel are pretty cool. Did they ever make figures of the kid Smurfs that were in the last few seasons of the show?

I have never come across any of the kids or the Gramps. My wife will be pretty stoked to here that they are out there somewhere. I also found a vinyl Smurfs collectors case for her the other day at Value Village. Is there any way to tell the vintage figures apart from the 1990s re-issues? I know that the houses look different.

Hey 10incher, Does your wife know about www.blueimps.com?? If not, prepare to catch her when she faints. As of 2004 there's 340 normal ones to collect according to their FAQ. I personally had a handful when I was a kid. Gargamel and Azreal were my favs. I have 0 now though. I always wanted to hunt down a complete set, but I'll never have the room to display them so that's never going to happen.

Didn't the cartoon end with Gramps and the kids travelling around in time? Those were the last episodes i ever remember seeing. What the hell were the names of those green lizard men that used to hunt pixies? They should have made figures of them.

Other than a Smurf bobblehead, I had no Smurf items in my collection. And for a child of the 80's, where Smurf blue was everywhere, I just rectified that situation. Just won the following on eBay: -Papa Smurf -Jokey Smurf -Chasing Gargamel & Azrael -Computer Smurf (desktop version) -Devil Smurf -Pumpkin Head Smurf -Smurfette Witch #2 -Dracula Smurf -Ghost Smurf -Grim Reaper Smurf Can you tell what my favorite holiday is yet? hehe Let me tell you, I can see how Smurf collecting can get addictive. I wanted only 1 for my desk. Wound up w/ 9 for my shelves (the witch is for the wife), and it only came to $35. Almost makes you with all toys came in tiny PVC form. Imagine the savings on space & $$$?!

My wifey has a huge collection. I think they're great. She doesn't have them all displayed, but we do have a good assortment randomly throughout the apartment. She also rotates some out depending on the time of year( i.e. the Cupid Smurf around Valentines Day). We have Azreal hanging out on top of the cat feeder

Oddest thing...i just recently picked up a Smurf figure and its grown on me.
Im not sure why. Im an action figure guy and its a little poseable statue (the head turns) @ 2'' tall i guess. Ive considered customizing it but im not sure so for now ...it just sits on my desk.

I have a few of them that were from my childhood (about 30 or 40 of them). But I don't "actively" collect them, since there are way too many of them. However, I read each and every smurf comic book that is released.

I had somewhere between 60 and 100 Smurfs when I was little. Which was pretty impressive considering how hard they were to find in my area at the time. I remember 1 Hallmark type store that we rarely went to had them. But I got most of mine at this back alley bookstore my Dad liked. They had a basket at the counter full of used Smurfs for something like 75 cent's each. He'd usually let me get 1 or 2 of them every time we went. This was in the early 1980's, and they were already older ones at that time. So I had a pretty odd assortment of Smurfs for a kid my age at the time.
I think I had a small house or 2, and 1 large house? Probably got them for a birthday or Christmas from Grandma. But I still made a pretty cool village. I used things like a Weeble Wobble castle, and Playschool houses. They all worked really well for Smurfs.
Anyway, I don't collect them anymore, but in the last few months I started dealing with them in my shop. They actually sell pretty well for me. I've bough up about 200 or so, and a few accessories, and I'm already down to about 60 left. Most of those have gone to 1 person. So I'm Smurffy.

I specifically remember having: The Smurf brushing his teeth, the smurf bowling, a smurf holding a dumb bell, and a smurf with a red pair of wings like a glyder. Man those were cool. I used to leave them in the kitchen cabinets for my parents to find. they didn't enjoy that.

i have a couple smurfs, but what i really like is a series called "gnome family" made by a company called Empire in the late 70s. basically knockoff smurfs, there were green ones with purple clothes, yellow ones with red clothes, and orange ones with green pants and red hats.
