What are your guys opinion on the Gijoe Battle Corps figures lines? I heard they are not the favorite of collectors. I personally grew up with both the 80s Gijoes and the Battle Corps, and I like them both, but I mostly have Battle corps, so I naturally like them more. Some of my favorite memories of backyard warzones involved Gijoe and Cobra Battle Corps

The 1992-94 years of G.I.Joe are considered the weakest of the original 3.75" run by most collectors. I tend to agree but do like many of the items in those years. These are some of the grips when compared to earlier years:
1) Weaker sculpt - there's a distinct reduction in detail 2) Bright colors - yeah some of the previous figures were bright but to have almost the entire line that way... 3) Generic weapons and accessories 4) The line was no longer 'military realism' but 'sci-fi fantasy'
The Roadblock that came out under Battle Corps rocks though - buffed up as the character should be. The Navy Seal version of Shipwreck was awesome too!

Have you guys seen the unreleased 1995 Battle Corps items? They were really nice. A couple of prototypes were sold off on eBay earlier this year...

I have to admit my favorite out of the crazy lineups there is the DEF I always use headman (orange suit) and Grizzle as drug dealers and they get taken down by 2 cop figures (corps), Mace (Battle Corps), Surefire (2002 release), chuckles (v 1), General Tomahawk (1 that came with headman) and shockwave (V1) does anyone else do anything like this. And also they have a ton of money from drugs they sell (I printed and put togather a bunch of different bills tht are like 1:20 scale or something and threw them in a barbie suitcase)

A few years back I went on a rampage to get every loose mint complete regular issue Joe that I did not have (82-94). Several 100 figures later I still need the gold head steel brigade...but that’s it.
I have to say I can’t stand looking at any of those battle corps Joes. The colors are the worst. Bright orange, bright yellows, bright greens.....why? I never understood that at all. Also the ninjas in crazy colors like a ninja wrestling league. Then the gimmicks like firing missile launchers with every figure and water/heat activated color change…..uuuuug.
“Wonder Powers Activate” Color of a baby girl’s underwear draw! Shape of an oversized pizza oven disk firing 1500 lbs back pack!

I was mainly disappointed with the accessories. My favorite part of GI Joe was the specialised gear each figure came with, and in 1992 they pretty much dropped that feature, with a few exceptions.

Man the 90's were terrible for figures. All figures not just joes dawned the terrible multi color bright fluorescent crazy items tht I did not want any part of. Now I love them though. Toxo viper is one of my faves.

Kind of nice to revisit the colorful Battle Corps after Rise of Cobra contained about 90 percent of figures that were black and grey.
