Heres another obscure line I discovered today that I thought I'd share with you guys. I had heard of these things before, but had never payed much attention to them. I found a 10 piece gift set at a flea market today. They where still in the original box and in decent shape except for the set missing one figure. The price was right, so I picked it up. They have their own charm to them, but I have to say, they're pretty cheap. They're all plastic and feel more like the ripoff transformers you'd buy at Big Lots. I do think this may officially makes Remco the kings of failed toylines.

The giftset I have doesn't combine. I don't recall seeing any others that do.

of ZYBOTS!!!! I had this space shuttle by remco as a kid and was pretty sure it was a Zybot, but internet searchs always came up dry, never really listing more than 10 Zybotz. (Don't get me started on the lack of pics, I love pics, it really helps identify stuff oddly ) One day I search it on eBay and baam, i find the space shuttle (called Space Cadet) on card. I end up winning the auction for just over $5.00 and get it. The back of the card shows many more Zybots than I ever really thougth existed. Just weird.... does any know any good Zybot archive sites or have lots of info on the Zybot toy line?

I remember having that submarine one when I was a kid in the 1980s along with a cheap knock off of Gobots where one was an army jeep, a train and another one that turned into a rich person's white car

I scored a couple at the Swap Meet today... 2 of them are Zybots, the Locomotive is Moto-Bots, I think. I'm not sure what the little truck is, though.

I have the yellow and red tractor still haha, I never knew he even had a name! I was an absolute mixer with my transformers as a kid. It didn't matter to me what and where they come from. My actual all time favorite transformer is a knock off of a red "owl" that kind of transformers into a robot. I always wished I could find that guy again. Every once in a while I see him on ebay, but I always forget to go after it.

I think the little truck is a TF Micromaster.
Leo-that owl is Convertors Hoot. I think I traded my extra one, but I'll keep an eye out for you!

lol. I love how on the first carded figure pic above it says, "Robot changes into USA Space Shuttle & Back Again!" Nice to point out it changes back again, be pretty crap if it was a permanent one way trnsformation.

There where a lot of those locomotive type robots, all with the same mechanics ( if you can call it like that ). I recently got the locomotive again in a transformers lot i bought, brought back memories.

I remember this line pretty well. I think this remco line did pretty good back in the day because they were cheaper than tranformers or gobots and could be bought at the dollar store. Knockoff toys were so good back then. I like their heman knock offs to.

I loves me some Zybots, they are awesome!!! true, most of their designs were laughable, but the cheese is part of the charm. and its interesting once you dig into them, cuz you find out there were WAAAAAY more of them than you may have thought!

These are about the cheapest and ugliest of the TF cash-in lines, and that includes every other cheap KO line I have ever seen. They have some sort of charm to them I guess. Some of the robot modes are terrible, like the rice rocket with the front wheel sticking out of his head and the copter that looks like he crapped his pants. The shuttle guy is equally awful. Some are ok--I like the Splash Robo, vaguely Shockwave looking gun. There is a space fighter that is a bit cooler that I believe was released as a Bibot. I'm not sure how deep this line goes. A few I have seen had some weird gimmicks like flight launchers or parachutes. There absolutely was a combiner figure that had a ton of kibble. There was also 1 or 2 giftsets with non-combiners.
