Hi! OK, you all know I'm a marine life toy freak. My collection includes whales, sea tars, fishes, sharks, rays, jellyfish... plus a good number of singular animals (like a mandrill, a Trionyx terrapin and a few others) and prehistoric animals. But I'm wondering: am i the only one here who has a collection of ANIMAL TOYS? Any kinds of animals? Or am I the only one? Caus' I'm starting to feel a little like a freak, here...

I do get cheap plastic Dinosaurs and Gorillas I found. Plastic Gorillas of any size can found a dinosaur of a matching size to re-create a scene from King Kong or other big Monsters movie, so it's always fun. See, you're not alone

i always love finding imperial and imperial style dinosaurs and lizards. i usually only pick em up if they're particularly crazy looking, i.e. non-scientific looking! i also always like finding cool sharks, whales, squids, snakes, giant insects/spiders, etc!
if i get a chance i'll post pics of some of my more unusual ones.

Yeah, dinosaurs are a great source of inspiration for cheap-crazy-looking animal toys makers. Did you see, in my gallery, the number of aggressive-looking stegosauruses and triceratops I have? Sharks and lizards, represented with their mouths wide open and full of overpainted white teeth are relatively easy to find. And that's OK with me, since it's fun to be not-so-serious from time to time! A regret: not having bought the Dollarama green sperm whale with the baleanopteridea wrinkled belly, fifteen years ago. I would have had the only sperm-whale-blue whale hybrid in the world!

I've started collecting odd cheap dinosaur toys. I love those things, they're so strange and goofy looking. I've got one that looks like it has tiny ears and three hands! The smaller ones I find go in terrariums. Usually I find them in Dollar Stores, but the last time I went I didn't find as many as I did when I was a kid.

I used to collect scientifically correct dinosaur models (for as much that's possible with animals that are extinct for millions of years and nobody has ever seen in real life) but stopped and changed my collecting focus to more vintage toylines, I still have them though but they are packed up and in storage now. I do however still collect gecko's and some other lizards models made by Kaiyodo and Kitan , mostly because I breed gecko's and am a big reptile enthousiast all around.., I just also don't have them on display anymore.
