It took me YEARS to find and name this toy line, but I've finally re-discovered them...they are the SUPER DINO MONSTERS!!! Oh, yeah baby! Some time ago, someone had a couple of these in the ID section as part of a post. When I saw them, I freaked 'cause I knew what they were but not what they were called. Now I do! To recant my story with these...years ago, maybe late 80s/early 90s, I saw these in a "warehouse store" and have wanted them ever since. Being only a kid (a generally well-behaved kid who always asked his mumsy if he could use his own meager savings to buy toys), it was a bit hard to get permission to get new toys. Begging parents or grandparents doesn't always work...not even when using one's own moolah. I fell in love when I saw these, and never ever got 'em. I was so sad. Every Sunday, we stopped at this store for lunch meat and ended up looking around while mom waited in line. This place (called Gyp's) had a little of everything rolled up into one crappy store-like package. They tried to organize by aisle, but not always. Their toy aisle was kinda loose. Basically, they had a large cardboard box with a ton of these dumped in it. I always remember, week after week, rummaging through it and looking at all the different monsters in marvel at their design. They were about three bucks a pop with twelve in the assortment. I remember always carrying the $36 plus tax with me just in case. Eventually, the stock ran dry and I was devastated. My neighbor had a few of these and I was so darn jealous! I think he let me play with them once...maybe. Years later, came the internet, then eBay, then when I got my feet in the technological water...I began snooping on the 'Bay for old toys of yore. Not remembering the name of this toy line didn't help. Randomly searching for monsters takes time and patience. I searched for years, on and off. I saw these babies in one of the ID threads on this site and it reignited my fervor. By sheer chance, I stumbled across one of these and quickly snatched it up with glee. Though happy, I wanted them all...no..."needed" the complete set! A little while later, again by chance, I saw something I could not believe! It almost seemed improbable...too good to be true...what are the odds?!?! Someone had a whole set, in good shape, with one example of a card backer...with the name! LAWDY LAWDY!!! tsuburaya limited needs to sue these people for making trash like this to tell you guys the truth these so-called dinosaurs are NOT dinosaurs ,they are ultraman kaiju, I know these monsters, the blue one with the horns is gomora .the gold one is an ultraseven monster, and I don't know the rest

[ WAY past the statute of limitations for them to take any action. These were produced from the late 80s-mid 90s. If anybody has any extra's of these guys please message me, id like to start collecting them! I focus on Japanese vinyl toys and these are really cool bootlegs!

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but I wanted to make a post identifying the kaiju in the Super Dino Monsters lineup. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong and keep in mind that there are two kaiju that I'm not sure on. 1. Gomora (Even though the colors don't match up with its official counterpart all the details are still there) 2. Titanosaurus (One of the two kaiju in the lineup that's from the Godzilla franchise) 3. Telesdon (I figured this out after seeing the larger, Ultra Dinosaur. version of this figure. Both figures have a head spike not found on the character's official design) 4. (Some people say this is a figure of Black King but it could also be a figure of Astromons, Vakishim, Arstron, or any of the other Ultra monsters with this type of design) 5. Beacon (Fairly accurate to the character's appearance in the Ultra franchise) 6. King Maimai (The Super Dino Monster figure King Maimai seems to be based on a Bullmark figure of the character) 7. (Some people think that this is meant to be Black King. I can't confirm if this is true) 8. Shugaron 9. Bemstar 10. Agira (The small and large Super Dino Monster figures of this character have two horns instead of one) 11. King Caesar (The second Super Dino Monster figure that's from the Godzilla franchise) 12. Gorgos
