I had a good collection of these a few years back, and yes they're a beast to complete. Complete boxed figures are tough, and vehicles are even tougher. When I sold everything, I had every figure, every carded uniform set, every carded accessory set, the hero and villain 'command' vehicles, and the villain lawn-chair tanks. I never scored the crazy monowheel cycle the heroes use.
DC comics did a 4 issue miniseries (look in your local comic shop's bargain bins) and they release a couple VHS tapes... I had 'ride the whirlwind'
The Japanese line is much bigger, but I don't think it's still going (2007). Figures are a little different, slightly smaller, hands are removable & Japanese uniforms include alternate hands. Storyline's also different (none of the American 'characters' appear, but retains post aocalyptic good vs evil storyline). The two lines are related in the loosest way; same idea (plastic soldier of the future w/ cloth and vinyl gear) and same name, but different interpretations.

I was able to pick up most of the figures loose and complete in a lot for a decent price. Like Cap said, the vehicles are a tough find, though they really are cool looking vehicles.

I've got one figure (Max Jones) I found at a local comic store for $4 a few months back. It's only missing a couple of parts (Arm bands, mouth hose and knife)
My dad used to get me these back in the day on clearance from Kay Bee

These guys came with quite a few different weapons and clothing. They actually remind me more of barbies more than anything. I also have the cassettes that came with the figures, not really sure what is on them though, I don't even own a cassette player anymore to even check.

I remember the cassettes. They were narrated stories about the character the tape came with. Kinda like GI Joe Special Missions Brazil and such

I think I have a couple of pistols that belong to Lt. Hiro Taka and Sgt. Tank Schmidt. The pistol on the right has an indentation on the butt of the handle. It showed up well in the picture.

I've just won a Lt Hiro Taka and Razorback for $20.00. I think they have all their weapons and accessories. I'd like to buy a few more dolls with complete accessories. These are the figures I won: $29.00 including shipping!

Thanks 10incher. Know the site pretty well these days. PM sent to you....
Incidentally, anyone else have figures that remind them of their Mom or Dad? No kidding, Max Jones from Spiral Zone looks like my Dad in his prime....now hes old and ill he looks a lot like Bandit (both from the Spiral Zone line)......sans the red welts on his head and arms!

How tall are these guys? When I first saw pics I assumed they were 12" but now I've seen them listed as both 6" and 8" , which is it?

Youtube has an episode of this on now and I finally got a chance to watch it. What an amazing show! I cant believe how underrated or forgotten it seems to be. I wish I had some of the figures as a kid, other than a naked and weaponless Bandit The vehicles are kind of unique, well the unicycle is anyways. Anyone have any of these that could post pics? Or anyone else like these at all?

The show is PHENOMENAL and im fortunate to own every episode (65!!!). Had this figure line been released in GI Joe (3 3/4'') or M.A.S.K. scale id have collected everything that was put out. Instead i only owned 1 or 2 figures due to the larger scale . It was a cool figure though..it just didnt fit in with anything i owned as a kid.
