I'm talking a bout a loose complete one? I saw a loose one with no boots or cloak go for US$815 recently. I have a loose one with no accessories and a broken thumb.

The Humanoid was only released in Canada and in certain European Countries. That is why it is so rare.

The last one with the custom card and repro accessories sold for a BIN of $400. I just picked up another loose one in a lot of other Black Hole figures for $120. The cape looks repro but it was still a great deal.

Got the figures the other day and it turns out the Humanoid in the lot was a fake It was a painted Kate McRae with a custom robe. The head might have been real but the whole body was held together with glue, no screw in the back. I was pretty pissed about it, but the seller has 100% feedback and says he is going to refund my money. This is the type of Ebay crap I can't stand

I sent the figure back and the dude refunded my money. I'm not sure if he knew it was a fake or not but I can't complain. He does have his own toy website he sells from, so who knows.

the humanoid is one of the most ellusive action figure ever and for this reason demands such a high price and because of this people will make copies!there`s a guy in the uk that made loads of them and sell them as such on ebay, but it doesn`t stopp people selling them on later"as the real thing"!!!

I've discussed this with someone on another site's forum. He said he saw one going for around $399.00. I'm not sure if it was carded or loose.

Well, I never thought it would happen, but over the weekend at the Manitoba ComicCon I was able to find..... a Humanoid cape for my loose figure!
Found it in a box of Star Wars figures and must went through the stuff 3 or 4 times looking for the actual figure (but never found it). Never thought i would come across it for my bare figure I picked up a few years back. Woohoo!!!!!!!

I have been watching this auction for a few weeks: www.ebay.ca/itm/320865520042?ssPageName=STRKit started out at $900 now its down to $822 Does anyone else have one of these? I do: i have a carded Vincent as well so alls i need is old bob. is the humanoid figure worth 800 to 900 bucks? is any figure worth that? i am hoping for your guys own answer and opinion not the standard action figure philosophy behind the value of toys... ;D ;D ;D

I don't think it'll sell. These times are tough and to pay $822 for 1 figure, is kind of ridiculous, even if its extremely rare. If he wanted to sell it, he should have baited the buyers by starting a low bid like $0.99 and let it rise on it's own. If it's truly worth $900, then it'll reach that price through bidding.

Yea you need a chance taker or some CEO who doesn't even blink at $1000 for a toy and just wants it NOW!

This seller might just be flirting with the idea of selling. Would I pay over a hundred for a toy that I really want? I think I would. It has to be something with special meaning to me like the Blackstar dragon or a very nice snake mountain. Thats probably as close as I would go. I definately wouldnt spend over two hundred on any toy. I would just get a beat up copy If i wanted one bad enough. Still wouldnt mind a mego stretch hulk though. Even a knockoff one is over two hundred last i looked.

$900 - $1200 was the going rate just a few years back. But prices rise and fall all the time depending on demand. Toys have NO set prices. It's what the market dictates. I don't think it will sell especially since it's not even complete. Plus there are repros out there.

For all we know it could be Lil' Seth Green buying these toys for his show Robot Chicken. I also heard some other big name celebrity that was a toy collector. I want to say Leonardo DiCaprio, but I could be wrong. Only these people would pay hundreds or thousands for toys. I just know I wouldn't.

I think its great that a few people have mention they think the figure is not complete. This is a long ongoing debate. I am from the camp thats says ...nay... to the boots. I had these figure originally and remember buying them off the pegs from Woodwards back in the late late 70s/80s. I had them all except old bob, he looked weird and because i had a second Vincent i just busted a leg off him and made his head tilt backwards and had a much cooler looking version. Those are all since long gone and i was sure lucky to find another humanoid a few years back.
The Humanoid did not come with boots in my opinion. The two carded examples i have seen did not come with boots either.
I have, however, seen a guy who claimed they did come with boots and had a picture of his 'complete' one but you could see that the fabric was different. Other than his I have never seen another with boots and have yet to see a mint on card one with boots either. I am hoping if it is true i could see picture and maybe even a carded one in person...i am sure we will see carded version coming out soon with all the repo kits around.

I know these go for around that usually, for everyone I've seen. As far as the boots, I never collected these as a kid, but on another toy group (AFA) someone posted a long story about how they found one in a little dusty shop in Japan, and it had the boots. Maybe some came with them and others didn't? It seems strange that if they didn't at all, the few people that owned ones with boots would have the same exact boots. I don't know, but nice collection man! What are the little blue and green models of the figures? Toothbrush holders?

no matter how much it may be worth or how much he wanted to showcase it, he definitely should have gone WITHOUT the legs spread up-the-crotch picture.

Yes its called "The Black Hole"....it was the last movie to use several special effects that were replaced with blue screen, i think. they used huge sets with massive paintings and so on. its actually a very cool old film and pretty well done. there was some talk of redoing it at some point?
You can see a copy of it on DVD behind my figures...if there is a movie or cartoon i usually get it and display it with the figures. my kids love to watch these as then they have a good idea about the line. you can also see the "Flash Gordon" cartoon series in the photo as well behind all the figures from that line.
