I've found three Dr. Care's from Remco's American defense in various lot's over the years, and they all share a weird trait that i'm trying to decide whether its a strange coincidence, or shoddy workmanship. Here's a picture of the good doctor carded I received from 10incher. Now looking closely at all three of the doctor's I have, they all have smooth paint jobs everywhere but their arms. On their arms the paint is rough and looks like it's caked on compared to the rest of the figure. Does anyone else have this figure and can confirm that this is normal? I figured that three seperate pieces from other collections would be good enough, but I just want to be completely sure cause it's weirding me out. I've never come across another remco figure that has this.

It looks like the one in the middle has a different crotch than the rest. Not that I'm into checking out unique crotches or anything.....

I have one of these with just one arm and his arm is not painted like that. It's just the normal white plastic.
...and you're right Grizz, he does have a different buckle.

Holy Snickies! I found another Dr. Care in an unsorted lot tonight and it has another waist variation. The one in the middle is the newest addition and he does not have the paint on the arms.

I think this is normal with Dr. Care as the figure I have has the painted arms.

Looks like there are a few variations to this guy, probably due to early and later releases in the line.

I recently acquired this American Defense chopper in a trade. However the figure that originally came with it, is not there. Anyone knows which figure this was?

Thanks for the info and picture Dennis! Here are a few pictures of the actual helicopter, sticker sheet and instructions.

I don't have a picture handy, but there was an American Defense figure from the 1980's/1990's that had one half of his head (or skull) that was "cyborg-ized." It was either the left side or the right side, an exposed computer brain, and he was bald. This is not the same character from the "S.I.T." Force who had a normal face on one side and a robot face on the other (I believe he was called "Control'). Thanks.

Wildfire, once you reach the 30 post count you will gain access to the Marketplace section on the forums where you can post a want list.

Thanks I am amazed with how many variations there were for all of these figures, from backer cards, to different waist pieces and names, there was a lot of them in this line.

Makes it hard to keep up with the figures with so many variations. I used to have a lot of this line way back in the 80's, but I got spoiled with GI Joes and the REMCO's sort of slowly faded away from my collection, many of them with broken arms it always seemed. But I've since learn to love them and have slowly been picking them back up.
