yes and no i mean i wanted em ever since i picked up a buncha clones on discount at London drugs last summer ...belive it or not i didn't think to check TRU because i had seen em go on ebay for like a 100 bucks at the time, and im not a big fan of TRU they forget who supports them. so i just wrote it on the things to keep my eye out for list. but as for the lil one (scale or close to the star wars minis) yeah that was just a few weeks ago that i wanted to get ahold of one i was going to scratch build one then i figured that there may be a kit because the released the other kits. but i haven't been able to find a kit of the gunship or even if there is one but if its at willowbrook that is just a hop skip and a 30 min bus ride from my place imma go see if they have one thanks for the heads up

Is anyone currently collecting this line? I don't know why but I have been really into checking out this line in the stores over the last few weeks and have been debating on getting into it. Its the first time Star Wars figures have really appealed to me since the POTF2 line was first released in 1995. Really do like the AT-TE and the Republic Gunship ships. Here is a checklist I found on Rebelscum listing what has been released so far, LMK if anyone knows of a better one www.rebelscum.com/CH-TCW.aspHas anyone been able to track down any of the exlusives?

Been thinking to add that AT-TE and the Gunship to my Christmas list this year, would be like Christmas 1980 all over again (though back then I never did get the AT-AT)!
Been watching the show as well and really do like it, though didn't go see the movie yet. Heard they were going to air it on TV so decided to wait.

Caught the AT-TE toy commercial on Teletoon the other day, now I want it even more. Looks like TrU has it on sale this week for $90 (or something like that). Just wondering if its worth waiting till after Christmas if they mark that sucker down.
Also saw the new Millenium Falcon ship in the stores last week. Never checked it out in detail, but for the price they want, you can pick up a complete vintage one!

Actually, this topic brought to mind a rant on Star Wars I was going to write. From 1997-2006 I collected the Hasbro Star Wars 3 3/4" scale line figures, vehicles, beasts, etc from the original trilogy to the prequels. Between money, display space issues, and general burn out on Star Wars,I started selling all my items based on the prequels in 2007 and finished earlier this year. I do not regret that decision. There have many numerous rehashes of different items that began to fustrate me. A recent trip to a Wal-Mart finally made me realize exactly what is going on and why I probably lost interest in Star Wars toys. Hasbro has turned Star Wars from a collectible to merely a commodity in my opinion. It is almost like they are making a food product, say soup, for example. The same soup will be kept on churning out as long as it's selling. If a new variety of soup doesn't sell it's discontinued. If demand for another variety calls for its return,it's re-released. What I am trying to say is,basically, they are kind of turning Star Wars toys into super-common crap. If I would have paid some decent $ for Anakin's Super Modified Jedi Starfighter on the secondary market, for example, and then walked into a Wal-Mart last week and saw it available again for $20, I would be pretty mad. Exclusive figures have been re-released. How much money did people spend trying to get a Covert Ops Clone Trooper, just to see it become available again? The Republic Gunship is available again. They've just released another A-Wing. Star Wars has become basically a re-hash line. If you miss something, just wait a while and it will be released again. Star Wars has become the Wonder Bread of the toy aisle. Sadly, I saw G.I. Joe heading down that same path,a fact that had an affect on my decision to recently stop collecting Joe and sell my collection off. Now, I believe that you shouldn't collect something solely based on the idea that it will be worth a ton of money which I don't collect that way, but when they make the stuff absolute dog meat it starts to make you wonder if your money could be spent better. I still collect the OT stuff because those are the movies I grew up with, but there hasn't been much to collect on that front. I'm not complaining.

Agreed Spockoda, thats why I haven't really been paying attention to any of the SW toys released from the prequel movies. Really got burned out on them somewhere when they were putting out the POTF2 stuff.
I think all I would really want to do is set up one huge Clone Wars display with all loose figures and vehicles. The sad part is, space issues, so I think I'm gonna hold off until everyone starts trying to dump their collections once all the hype is over.

I think more and more I'm beginning to see what you meant when you said that collecting figures started going down hill around 1995 when Star Wars was re-introduced. All Hasbro does is reissue stuff. You work your tail off to buy and find the stuff, only to see it reissued. I guess that's only good if you're not an opener. One advantage to collecting some of the cult lines of the 70's through the 90's is there aren't 50,000 pieces to collect(such as Dragonriders Of The Styx,etc.). Of course with the cult stuff, finding the stuff and affording it beomes an issue.

Well because of TrU's 2 for $10 sale last week I picked up nearly all of the figures released on the new cards (short maybe 5 from the 1st wave) and the new waves not released yet here in Canada (Hondo, Aayla, Darth Sidious, Thi-Sen). Also at Christmas picked up the AT-TE at TrU at a doorcrasher price of $50, a bunch of the Deluxe Packs on Rollback (last week) for $12 each and a couple of ships for $30 each (just after Christmas), at Walmart . Also checkout the Toyfair pics here for all the new upcoming Clone Wars figures toyfair10.asmzine.com/gallery/hasbro/hasbro-star-wars-presentation/

Finally found the newest CW wave at retail. Picked up a Snow Kenobi and Magnaguard last week at Walmart. Hit my local TrU yesterday and scored the rest - Firefighter Droid, Cold Weather Cpt Rex as well as Commander Bly.
It looks like we never got the last wave here in Canada (Hondu, Aaayla). I was able to pick them up though a few months back in Target in ND.

Got in my mail away Nahdar Vebb the other day, it didn't take long at all to come in maybe a month at the most from the date I sent away for it. Anyone else send away for one? Totally forgot about it until the parcel showed up and even before I opened it was wondering WTF is this?

Found some cool deals at both Toysrus and Target. At Target for this week only they are selling the Geonosis Arena Showdown 2-pks for only 6.99 each and at Toysrus I found the Battle packs at 50 percent off at 12.49 each. Both are worthy deals to take advantage of. This is what I got for the Battle packs: Birth of Darth Vader - cool looking set Tatoonie Desert Ambush
Of the Geonosis Arena Showdown 2 packs I got the following: Yoda and Droideka Coeman Trebor and Jango Fett Joclad Danva and Battle Droid
I would have love to of gotten the Nicanas Tassu and Count Dooku but that pack is a hard to find one.

Both TRU around my way haven't restocked in the Star Wars departments for months and I'm kinda glad cause I'd hate to find something nice especially with the vintage figures at 10.99 each. With the Clone War figures the prices change from 7.99 to 9.99 from time to time.

Can not be considered cheap. But this are my first ones, ship, droid and ahsoka figures arrived in mail today and I bought the other figure in a local food store to fill up some space. Seeing how it evolved from season two ahsoka to season 3, I wonder if they have started using 3d printing for prototypes. When holding these they feel like they will break pretty easily in the joints. Especially the arms, but would have loved these as a kid. Love them today though :P Edit: Thought I would evolve my first thoughts about this line a little. Comparing to what I usually collect which is vintage, these are the first modern line I start to collect unless counting the ones I collected as a kid which where modern then :P Turtles, Ghostbusters, Dinoriders and many many more. Star Wars have always been my number 1 favorite, I never continued on to POTF2 or any of the newer lines after vintage. And felt pretty secure in what I like to collect and what is why I collect. Why have been that it's fun ofc, good memories a challenge to find good pieces, especially loose. And I am really close to a complete loose vintage collection, just missing a few guns/accessories. But recently I have started liking the clone wars. While I was never interested in the other newer lines for some reason I like this one. I am not really fund of the new movies. I might buy Jar Jar just to blow him up next new year. While this is my first pieces I can only look at these few I got. The droid in the ship, which is a separate figure, I guess there could be a benefit of buying it loose, but it could have followed the ship in my opinion. For a figure costing roughly 20$ in store here I think it's looks pretty cheap. I did manage to get a bargain via ebay on a moc though, so I shouldn't complain. But I was surprised of how low the quality looks on this figure, especially the paint. Even R2D2 Sensorscope from 1980s looks better. It's not very well detailed, it got some hatches you can open and pull out some arms, I can't tell if one of the arms are broken or not. The small hatches don't close very good. It does got a pretty fun feature though which is a small hook and a rope. I think kids will find that very funny. But it doesn't feel like something new at all and I am sure a lot of other droids looks just like it in different paint jobs. It even look better when just seeing the top of it in the half blurry picture then it does in reality. As for Ahsoka and the jedi master, I always forget the name, these are very well made. The arms are pretty soft and I fear they might break very easily. Not sure about it, it just feels that way. The pose ability of the figures are great, they got plenty of joints and can get pretty much any pose, except the feet. Wonder why they left the feet out. The accessories are great, I like the large amount of cloth on the figures, the details both in the molding and the painting. Very well done figures but I dunno if 20$ each isn't to much for such a small action figure even when this is well done, I am pretty sure they have moved on to 3d printing so making the prototypes shouldn't be very expensive. The ship is ok, I'm not fund of the missile firing canons, but I think ones again the kids will like it. I had some rocket firing transformer as a kid and I liked that one a lot so this is nothing new. I'm not very fund of the ship being able to be taken apart into two ships, I think it looks rather stupid and I can't remember it working like that anywhere in the series, I might be wrong. When put together I think it resembles Ahsokas ship very good except the "rockets". What I think is very strange though is that the ships don't cost much more then the figures here, in this case the ship was actually cheaper then the figure to the left, which I find odd. Fitting the droid into the ship was far from easy, I would rather have seen something like the vintage y-wing maybe with some spring lock, but that's just me. I had to bend the legs a bit and remove the middle leg on the droid to get it in there. I haven't payed much attention to the moc Ahsoka in the background. I think it's the first one released from the clone wars movie, where she can carry the little hut kid. I think the mold have been improved "a lot" since this version. I wont open it, because I got another CW 44 ahsoka on the way and I am planning to buy the other one as well and put the mocs in the background. Anyway this is just my thoughts. I think the line is very well made over all judging by the toys in store but the prices is to high in my opinion. I don't think the kids are in focus anymore, no way a normal kid here can have a large amount of figures to play with when they cost so much each. I have no clue what the galactic battle game is :P I enjoy this line a lot, and my next buy will probably be the missing ahsoka and a destroyer droid.

Is it just half a ship in there? or just figures?
And are there any mail aways right now? I would like to try and get some this time, which I missed 25 years ago on vintage.

I too have recently gotten into the Star Wars Clone Wars collecting, at first I wouldn't give a chance cause I didn't care for the animation art but then I got a Star Wars withdraw and gave it a shot and am glad I did. I have bought Seasons 1 & 2 of the Clone Wars and the movie which I watched for the first time this weekend. I still think the art and a lot of the Clone Wars figures look cheesey but I guess it's better than nothing. Did that Ahsoka with the swivel joints on her arms come with that ship?

Most of the Battle Packs are figures packs but there is one the Birth of Darth Vader which comes with a nice platform which was the piece that he was put together on in ROTS. I think you just missed out on a mail away figure but I'm hopeful on a new one coming soon.

No, had to pay 30£ for it in the end to get one, managed to get the second one cheaper though. The second have not arrived yet. If you search for Ahsoka CW44 you will find it. The ship can be found pretty cheap on eBay, I had no luck in stores. I payed think it was 58$ for the ship, droid and the moc ahsoka with the hut. Considering the prices here in Sweden it was pretty cheap imo and I just couldn't find none of what I wanted in the stores.
I too didn't like the animations at first when I saw the movie, but I had wanted to pick up the line even before I saw it but the prices turned me off every time I held one in hand. After I had seen the movie I found out there was also a series, and I found it interesting. I think you can see improvement in animation between season 1 and 3. I am very much looking forward for season 4.
Now I think that the animations are very well done, the storys are good, it's just a good series over all and watching it through for second time now, a couple of episodes each night.

I think I got one with a sticker that says something hidden inside, I think it's the little paper form for bric figure. But you need 5 proof of purchases, UPC codes and I believe that is the bar codes on the small cardboard insert. Seems I can't send after mail aways in europe anyway :(
