Does anyone know who this is? He looks like some kind of cross between Diapolon and Machine Blaster to me but it'd be nice to know a little more about him. He's approx 11 inches or 28cm tall, a mixture or hard plastic and vinyl construction, no visable makers mark that I can see. Standard vnyl style articulation to the lega and arms but he also has knee joints. Chest door open when the button is pressed to reveal missiles. The guy I bought it from claimed it was from 1960's but that sounds to early. It does look fairly old though I've also posted this over at RJ, but it can't hurt to try here as well. I bought this for my own collection so it's not for trade or sale (unless it turns out to be worth a fortune)

I think you're on the right track with Diapolon; there were several 'missle firing mini jumbos' put out in the 70s.
No copyright? How tall (12-15" I'm guessing?)?

Yeah he's really got that whole Diapolon thing going on, it's just the head is wrong. It's probably just a bootleg but I can't seem to shake the feeling I've seen that head somewhere before No makers mark, copyright or any visable marks at all, and he's only 11" tall so not quite jumbo scale. The seller claimed he was a christmas gift in 1967 but I don't believe that, 1977 sounds more feasible to me in terms of both robot design and the toy.

Peace Phantom
I already have Thunder Tom. I wasn't sure if there was anybody else for this line. Apparently there is. Thanks Gort!

Excellent, Thanks Daltron! Does Thunder Tom have any makers marks at all? It looks as though he has a spinning blade launcher rather than missiles, similar to a lot of the Bullmark ST stuff. I'd quite like to pick up Thunder Tom as well (stupid US only shipping )

I'll have to dig him out and check for markings. Tom has some wimpy missiles and a seriously kick ass Spinning blade launcher. That sucker launches far, they don't make toys like they used to. US sellers really cut out a large part of the market when they do that. It sucks to have to pay shipping twice. Maybe they'll take less than the $25.00?

I found a little info over at ToyboxDX and it looks like these may be the only two Jumbo style Peace Phantoms they made. I think there were some smaller die-cast ones though.

Well I was playing with Thunder T last night and the missile firing isn't so wimpy after all. Unfortunatley his blade launcher broke when I was messing around so it doesn't launch so far (at all) any more. He's stamped Taiwan on the bottom of his right foot. The box says it was made by Universal Ltd. 1978 Taiwan. Or something like that.

HA HA WTF I have the Legger. Loose no accessories or anything, but I do have it. I was wondering what the deal was with him. I believe he's marked Hong Kong If I remember correctly. I think with some super glue Tom may thunder once again. The brute 70's force and metal didn't mix well with the cheap plastic attachment part on the end. Are you going to leave yours in the box when you get it, Gort? Or pull it out and give it a try?

Hope you can fix your Thunder Tom, Daltron. HA HA WTF I have the Legger. Loose no accessories or anything, but I do have it. I was wondering what the deal was with him. I believe he's marked Hong Kong If I remember correctly. My Trang is in pretty much the same shape, he's marked Hong Kong as well. Hell no!! I'm planning on loosing some missiles and seeing what I can break with that spinning blade ;D btw. If either of you want to part with your Legger I may be interested
