Just thought I would post this to see if anyone would be interested in promoting the Action Figure Archive Website and forums to other collectors. I figure the more members we can get on board, the better for all of us - more trading, more figure info, more action on the boards! Also you would be helping out fellow collectors by directing them to the figure archives on this site. The easiest way to do this would be to put the following in your email signature, other message board signatures or in your Ebay auctions. Visit www.action-figures.ca the 1970s & 1980s action figure collectors guide and forums. Discuss, buy, sell and trade vintage action figures of all lines.

I just had a great idea to help promote the Website! The only thing is that it will rely on forum members to help spread the word. I was thinking about creating a flyer advertising the figure archive and forums and post it here. This way anyone willing to promote the site can download it, print off as many copies as they like, and distribute them at their local comic/action figure shops, send one out with their Ebay auctions or leave a stack at any toy shows they go to. LMK if anyone is up for doing any or all of these things and I can get started on a poster! The more members we can get, the better for everyone

I'll mention it in forums I visit - contact Matt at www.mycomicpile.com and maybe you two can cross-advertise

I will try and come up with a printable flyer that people can download sometimes in the next while. Also been thinking about getting some business cards done up as well. Hopefully I can set aside some time fairly soon to get these done. Business cards are usually pretty cheap to print up, even full color ones (I think).

I have made up a banner that members can use on their websites, Ebay auctions or in their signatures on other forums. Here is what it looks like: You can copy and paste this code into your websites or Ebay auctions. <a href="http://www.action-figures.ca"><img src="http://www.action-figures.ca/images/ad_banner1.gif" border="0" alt="The 70s & 80s action figure guide, online store & forums!"></a> You can use this code for your signature on other message boards:

I'm not sure where you were looking to get your biz cards done, but you should check out..... www.clubflyers.comThey do great stuff, for very good prices. 5000 biz cards full color on both sides only costs $100 I'm not sure how internaional shipping would work, but it may be worth a look.

At the risk of stating the bleeding obvious, what about a facebook or myspace page that we can viral to people on our friend lists? It's bound to work much faster than a simple flyer campaign and doesn't rely on people automatically buying from people here on ebay to spread the word around.

I overstepped the mark, but I just created a page on facebook and the link is here: www.facebook.com/pages/wwwaction-figuresca/295774235364Currently it's blank but only because I wasn't sure exactly what layout you wanted 10 incher. Also, as soon as I know how to, I'll transfer control of the page over to you.
