These action figures for "girls" were made in 1985 by Sungold. I could just have included this in the Galaxy Fighters & Galaxy Warriors thread since it's the girly equivalent to them but I dicided to give GAG its own thread. I don't know how much discussion this thread will generate however but if more stuff surfaces maybe some words will be shed here. I got this figure not too long ago after having won it on ebay and the figure doesn't have a plastic cape but a soft goods cape. Another thing I always asumed was that this figure was Ventura like the front of the card says, but if you look at the back it's actually Virago. Alright, so maybe the the girl on the cover art is Ventura, but it looks more like Supra if you compare to the back. But like the art for GF, it's not always 100% correct. If my figure is Virago then she's the one with the most boring info.

If my figure is Virago then she's the one with the most boring info. i am totally with ya on this...here are MY observations(from a he-man.org thread) on the topic: he funny thing is i think their descriptions on the cardbacks are WRONG(not to mention some of the grammar and syntax)...looking at some of the "evidence" i think they should have different names...the key points of my evidence are the front of the cardback, and the two unique weapons and shields, supported by the non-unique weapons and shields... first of all Supra, the cover girl, she has the unique bird shield shown to the far left on the cardback...it would seem she SHOULD be the hero, she also has the unique dual bladed sword, at the top of the cardback...both Ventura and Noblest have the same matching weapon, the spear, at the bottom on the cardback and matching shields, giving them the look of an "office corps", second from left on card back...with Noblest having an original torso... on the evil side, Yfele comes with the original weapon(second from top on card back) and shield(second from left on cardback), and Virago and Werra have the same axe weapon(second from bottom) and matching "officer" shields(far right)...also Werras helmet just looks like the one that would be dubbed the strongest, she looks like the most like the strongest warrior... so i think it should really go: SUPRA previously Ventura The most intelligent of the female warriors also possesses magical powers. Supra was elected as the leader of all "good" warriors to help them defeat evil forces. NOBLEST She is beautiful and intelligent but the weaker of the good warriors. VENTURA previously Supra The strongest of all good warriors. Supra possesses super strength which enables her to overcome many obstacles. YFELE previously Werra The most evil of all warriors. She can use her magical powers to force warriors to fight for her. VIRAGO She was once the friend of Supra but now is under the magical spell of Yfele. WERRA previously Yfele Is very strong but does not possesses any magical powers because of this she is afraid of Yfele and carries out all of Yfele's wishes. it is weird that it was the top and bottoms of the list that got switched, but not the middle characters...like they read the list right to left instead of left to right or something... also, there are another release/version of these guys(or girls more appropriately) that ditches the helmets and gives them combable synthetic hair ala GG, POP, etc... this "hairy" release does not have the characters name on the card front(my guess is after the previous name/cardback fiasco they decided it cheaper and easier just to have one generic cardback for all the girls)...

OK, so my figure is Virago but on a Ventura card. Here are some great pics I found on this german site www.80stoys.de I can figure out most of the info written but if anyone can translate that would be even better. I don't understand whether or not these girls were released as Galaxy Heroine on a different card. Anyway, my Virago isn't the only one released on the wrong card. Here's Ventura on Noblest card: Here's Ventura on her own card: SupraWerraViragoYfeleThe only one not shown is Noblest. As you can see my Virago (on Ventura card) figure doesn't have the same accessories as the as the Virago on Virago card. So does the accessories that came with my Virago belong to Ventura mybe since it's a Ventura card? Not if you look at the carded Ventura pics from www.80stoys.de So I guess the accessories were a bit random like Galaxy Warriors even though most times they came packaged with a personal set of weapons. (ps. i f***ing hate imageshack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Thanks for posting pics of these ladies; I've got one of the WERRA figure myself, and was curious to know what the others looked like in the flesh/plastic. It's very hard to find pics and info about almost all of the She-Ra type toylines that came out back in the eighties. Right now I've got a figure that I can't seem to match up to any of the girl figure lines that I know of. If anyone here knows all about this genre of figure and can help me out, I'd definitely appreciate it! Also, has anyone got any girl figures for sale that I should know about?

Welcome to the forum Jeff! Do you have a photo of the figure you can post here that would help. I would love to see what weapons your Werra came with so if you want to post a pic of her too that would be sweet

I recently purchased four more of these ladies from a collector online. Two of them have the alternate heads that nobody seems to have a pic of. I haven't received them in the mail yet, but when I do I will try to get some pics of them so anyone here can have an idea of what they look like. I could not immediately tell from the pics whether the faces were different, but the heads are larger and are more proportionate to the bodies, they have straight, brushable hair, and the faces are "pretty". Until I see them up close, I can't tell which version is better. Anyway, I was excited to come on here and tell the other 2 Galaxy Adventure Girl fans (in all the world) about my find!

Well I'll be waiting for the pics! I've never seen the "real hair" version.
