Snagged this pic from ebay. Thought it might be good to have as a reference. If I had the cash laying around, I would jump on the two items out there right now. Way too expensive for me right now though. I still haven't saved up enough to buy a Hive playset. That's really cool. I wish I knew how the guy in the UK got his hands on that.

Have you seen this? It looks like another Stellara showed up, but in the wild. Not from a collector. Or so it looks. I honestly believe it. I mean, in the past year I've stumbled across some ridiculous finds in random lots. I tried finding where I found this, because I want to give credit, but all I could remember was that it came from neuvadominion, so it's definitely their credit on finding this image/or figure.

I mentioned the UK auction for that rare Series 2 bug that was posted recently to my wife. She said Coleco had a UK office. I wonder how many of Stellara, and who knows what else, was spread around the world. I wish eBay's online records went back far enough to see that auction page again.

Any big Sectaurs fans know who might own the original 5 part animated series? I work for a major DVD label and we are interested in licensing, remastering, and releasing the Sectaurs mini-series. Unfortunately who we thought would own the master tapes/reels....Doesn't. Im also working on some information in regards to Stellara and the unproduced companions- both of which have been found in their fully produced form in Europe. Coleco's UK branch was planning to release the 2nd series before the proposed US release date. When the US branch began having problems they decided to end the UK branch as well. All remaining European Coleco stock, including very few and possibly only those few second series figures (Dont think any other made it beyond the test shot stage) were bought by El Greco toys and released in Greece/Italy/Turkey only. Im interviewing a former employee right now and will post everything he has to say when we are done speaking.

Sounds like that would be quite a task tracking done those master tapes, but would love to see a re-release of the mini series one day. Let us know of any new info you do find about the second series, be interested to know for sure if any did make it to production in Europe.

For those of you who are interested, Mr. Tim Clarke, the man who invented Sectaurs (literally it was 100% his idea and creation) as well as the Boglins, and he's a former Muppeteer (he was behind the costumes and puppets in the Dark Crystal) is available on Instagram @timclarketoys
He posts some incredible pics, please do not hound him about buying anything in his photographs!
Were still trying to work on finding the animated series master tapes, unfortunately Mr. Clarke does not have them in his archives. That means RS Holdings or Warner has them (hopefully).....keep your fingers crossed we find them because this will be one bad ass release with plenty of behind the scenes information about the toyline and commentary from Mr. Clarke! If anyone has connections at Warner and would like to help please message me! They are insanely slow at getting back to people (that or they think I'm crazy)!!!!!'

Here's the holy grail of Sectaurs collecting (aside from the Hive and series 2 prototypes)- the Brazilian exclusive "Black Armor" Night Fighting Dargon! There's only 3 of these known in western collectors hands and a MOC version has yet to be found!

Looks like a custom to me. The chest is just painted black, not black plastic. Until I see a carded one I have to say BS on this one.

I have one as well as a few other collectors and they have been thoroughly examined and a Brazilian collector even spoke with a former Estrela employee about it's authenticity. 100% legit.

I'd have to see better pics of it. I've been buying toys from South America off and on for almost 10 years and never seen this. It's possible I've missed it but I think I would of heard something about it. I went after all the GI Joes and Chuck Norris, and Rambo figures down there to. Have you seen the blue ninja from the Rambo line? That one is pretty cool. If it's legit, my apologies. Just never seen that one before, thanks is for sharing.

I am from Brazil and I can not proof his authenticity.... I mean, I've been collecting 80's action figures all my life, specially exclusives from Brazil and other countries, and I never saw a black vest Dargon MOC...
On the other hand, I hope he is legit !
It was Mimo (not Estrela) who released Sectors here....

Hello !
The blue ninja is called Rainin Wild and he is a Jiraya character.... Glasslite (always Glasslite rsrs) released Rambo actions figures here in Brazil and then, re-used the mold of the black/white ninjas to create Rainin Wild...
Also, Glasslite re-used the molds of EUA action figures to create some japanese metal heroes (Tokusatsu) figures....most were actual characters and a few (very rare ones), exclusive characters....
I remember:
1 - Rambo's ninjas: Rainin Wild (Jiraya) 2- Galaxy Rangers heroes: Dr. Jean Marie (Jiban) 3- Galaxy Rangers Queen: Marshal and Kenon (Jiban) --- very rares !!! 4- Robocop: Jaspion deluxe (Jaspion) 5- Tygra of ThunderCats: Ronin Haburamu (Jiraya) --- very rare !!! 6- Monkian of ThunderCats: Morfus (Jiban) --- exclusive Glasslite character very rare !!! 7- Vultureman of ThunderCats: Demon (Spielvan) --- exclusive Glasslite character very rare !!!
Well, there were some vehicles too, like Rambo's Sky Wolf in Jiban series and even Thundertank in a red version.....
It's very awful !!! rsrsrs
I hope it helps...

That looks absolutely horrible! A waste of time and space! (Got one I can buy?) Seriously though, awesome piece. I really would love one if you have the steam to build another, beautiful work.

Thanks guys. I'm happy enough with Stelara that I may have to sacrifice my MOTUC Catra to make a Scorpia next. My perfectly symmetrical Sectaurs shelf is off balance with the additional heroic figure

Thanks man. I used images of the Rhine-Ox prototype as a guide and tried to stay as close as possible sculpt wise. Really happy I was able to keep an action feature.

I can totally appreciate the work gone into the beast companion. Sculpting humanoid figures is one thing, but the unique bug sculpt must have taken extra skill and patient research. So big ups on some ace work there!

Thanks man. The insectoids all had very simple lines (not unlike real bugs) so the trick was not too embellish. I should note, that I followed the Rhine-Ox prototype as a guide (he was the insectoid they had planned for Stelara) so can't take credit for his design. Thanks for recognizing.

Wow, I would've loved to have had Stelara as a kid. Sectaurs was right up there with Masters of the Universe and Dino-Riders for me (before my interested moved to The Real Ghostbusters). Sectaurs had some of the best creatures in all of 80s toys for actually enabling you to create your own adventures...because they were puppets and flapped their wings and all that. And The Hive playset was a towering piece of awesome. The only real downside to Sectaurs were that the wings couldn't hold up to actually being played with...they were always the first things to break. T_T
