Anyone remember this line from the 1980s,made by CBS Toys? There is an article about these in the latest issue of ToyFare magazine. I had never heard of them.

I had these as a kid. My dad actually woke my brother and I up for the late night special cartoon that came on. It was great. Then he went out and got us all of them for christmas. It isn't a large set by any means. I have all of them currently. As well as the vehicles, and the fortress. I think they were cool as a kid. They had suction cup bottoms, so you could stick them to things like windows, fridges, etc.

Just wondered if anyone in here collected these. I have a thing with robots, so I figured I'd start collecting these. Got 3 in good shape for $7.59, they seem to be pretty decently priced and there's not a ton of em, the playset I would imagine is the rarest/most expensive item in the line.

Actually the playset is pretty inexpensive. I think I picked up mine for under $40 in the box. I sold it all awhile back.

Cool, I'm thinking about potting the whole line together, loose. (although they aren't that much in box, they would take up precious space I already don't have (trying right now to figure out how to get shelf space for the 3 I just bought)

Oh crap as a kid I was obsessed with this line but my parents never would buy me any. I would cut them out from the Sears catalog and make little paper Robo Force pictures. Looking back I can't decide if that was cute or sad...

this line was awesome! i had a ton and even the huge carrier vehicle as a kid.
I went to college for Toy Design and one of my professors was a designer on this line. He brought in some of his work and one piece was this huge like 3 ft tall airbrushed concept art piece of a Roboforce character!

I had these as a child and I have almost every figure of them now MOC. Those were absolutely cool and the second series should have been produced. The crocodile robot looked absolutely cool. But mainly the bottom lines of these robots never made it to stores. Just sad.

Hate the robots. I keep my Rocklords in the base. I'd never heard of them before, and I found this crappy base for $4. The same day, same place had a MIB one, too. Never seen them again. Weird how stuff like that happens.

Someone found a Tiltlor (from the cancelled second series) a while back. I think the story went that he bought it off of EBay.....but although the listing and the box was for one of the regular series one figures, the figure inside was Tiltor. It was a completely random find, the seller had no clue where it came from other than she bought it at an estate sale, and to my knowledge it's the only series 2 specimen ever to make it to a collector's hands.

The guy from Toyfinity bought the rights from Ideal within the past couple years and has reproduced the original toys in various color schemes (as well as Mordles from the awesome Rocks & Bugs & Things line). The new toys are comprised of interchangeable parts that can be arranged in various configurations and I believe they have some Glyos compatability? There's also an attempt at some official fiction for the line. The original line doesn't appeal to me that much. Ideal had some cool properties, but they were plagued by gimmicks that didn't stand the test of time, like the Robo Force arm grab which is pretty flimsy and the very nature of Manglors means it is super rare to get one in any kind of serviceable condition. The bots were a total throwback concept that seemed out of place in the 1980s and imo had sorta limited playability, but they do display nicely in your robot collection if you appreciate retro stuff.
