Anyone collect Sky Commanders? I have the whole set of them, except for the mail in piece. I'm not sure if it even exists, cause i've never seen a picture of it. Kind of an underrated set, I think. I really enjoyed stringing those things up as a kid. Plus, they are the same size as MASK, so you can have them interact. I did that during my wars that I had as a kid.

I had one of these figures. I always thought they were pretty cool. I would say they were underrated.

Has anyone actually seen the mail in piece for Sky Commanders? I'm kind of wondering if it actually exists.

well, for those that care, I actually won the mail in figure and vehicle to complete my set. Someone had one on ebay. First I have ever seen, and I must say, it didn't go cheap. But, I won, so now I have a full set of Sky Commanders! Once I move at the end of June, I'm going to string these suckers up in my toy room, along with all my other stuff!

I would appreciate it. I've been on a recent Sky Commanders search. It's one of my favorites. I don't remember the mail away and would love to see it along with any other pics you may want to share. Wish I didn't let them go when I was younger. They are hard to come by now. I'll keep an eye out for your post. Thanks

I loved these figures when I was a kid - even though I only had one. Unfortunately most that I find these days have the "safety" wire broken off of their back. I have several I have picked up here and there - you'll have to share some pics when you get them all strung up.

I've seen pics of the series 2 prototypes years ago, but I've never seen pics of the mail-away figure. How much did it go for on ebay? I thought my set was already complete, but they never are

Okay, my apologies guys, I really have had a hard time getting these up. I stay home with my kids, so I really haven't had time, till tonight. The following pictures, are of the mail away figure for Sky Commanders. It is extremely rare. I have seen only this one on ebay. I got it for a little over 50 bucks, I think. For a long time, I actually thought it didn't exist, and that it had never been made. Apparently though, it had. The only reason I even knew about it, was because of the mail away advertisement stickers on some of the MIB figures and vehicles that I have. I believe that the figure is another version of general mike summit. I do love this line a lot, I have very fond memories of playing with these as a kid. My brothers, and even my Mom remember us stringing them up around the house. They were great!!!

Wow! I'd say for $50 you got a steal. I would have paid a lot more for that if I needed to.

I just scooped up two of these and some parts at the Starvation Army for 50 cents. I have what I believe is a complete Jackal Raider and Track Patrol, along with some other parts. I've also identified an old weapon as one of the black double cannons off of the Vector Command, if someone needs it.
Does anyone know of a good archive? virtualtoychest only has box fronts, and Duke Nostalgia is limited to catalog scans. I never had these as a kid. Or maybe I could post a pic and someone could tell me what I have, or if they are complete?

Jackal Raider is somewhat rare, and most of the time, has a broken canopy. I must confess, that while my collection is complete, it has a broken canopy on jackal raider. I should probably keep an eye out for a replacement. But definately post the pics, I can tell you what you have.

both are complete. One track patrol, and one jackal raider. That's a great score for 50 cents!!!!!
Were there other parts you needed some identification on?

WooHoo! Thanks guys! I don't need anymore ID's, but they both came with catalogs, and from that I was able to identify the Vector Command cannon. That part has been driving me nuts forever! So, I have one if someone needs it. Did you ever get yours all strung up? That would be so cool to see!

no, never got em up. I keep meaning too, but it would require a lot of chairs, I think. My current room doesn't have any good hold areas for all the strings. maybe the dining room!! I'll see what I can do.

almost 3 year old daughter, but she loves this stuff. 4 month old son, won't appreciate it for a while, I think. But, I'm gonna wait till I get this other 5 dollar lot I won in. That way, I'll have extra stuff to string up. Then, I'm gonna do it. I'll post the pics, once I get it all up.

ok, just got in my lot. I paid 12 to ship a 5 dollar lot. Poor guy that sold it, spent 22 to ship it. I feel bad. He lost money on the whole thing, big time. I'll probably paypal him some more, to break even.
The score though, was a complete jackal raider, a complete rapid deployment, a number of complete figures w/ backpacks (haven't sorted them all out yet), and a vector command w/ box. It's missing a number of cannons, but even still, I might try and paint this thing up to be a bad guy headquarters. What kind of paint do I use for something like that?

That Vector command Cannon I have is yours, if you want it. It's the double gun. For paint, use anything acrylic. Testors Acryl is cheap, but shiney. Games Workshop and Model Masters is good stuff.

So, I sorted it all out. Here is the breakdown on my lot:
Complete: -Jackal Raider -Rapid Deployment -5 of the 6 figure packs (2 bad guys have small cracks in the plastic parts of the cables)
Incomplete: -Geyser attack backpack is missing the 2 guns and needs a new plastic cable piece -Bomb Blast is missing the 2 bombs, and the piece that attaches the chair to the ride -Vector Command is missing the 4 double barrel guns, one folding gun, and the very top detachable command pod.
For what I paid, this is a great lot.

I never knew there was a box either. I'm amazed I got this thing for only $20 when everytime I see a loose one it goes for over $50. I bought it so I'll take better pics of it when it gets across the Pacific.
