I know that there were some metal figures in 1986 as well as the first Predaking release in 1987. Anyone know when they actually made the change?

oddly enough alot of figures came out with both plastic and metal versions! what was the deal with that? growing up i had no idea there were 2 versions of some of the toys. like the rubber wheeled and plastic wheeled magnus. i thought that was realy facinating.

I had both versions of Magnus at one time. I will say that the plastic versions look and feel allot cheaper than the steel versions. I think most of the movie figures had both versions but I could be wrong.

yea the movie characters had 2 versions. mostly the "metal foot" and "plastic foot" versions. i had the plastic foor hot rod, but the metal foot kup. i was freaked out years later when i found out that there were alt versions... i just figured kup had metal feet cus he was a grizzled old war veteran...hehehe silly me.
