It's hard to believe that a character that has been around since the late 50's didn't get an action figure made until the Super Powers Collection in the 80's!!! Am I right about this? Or am I missing a figure. Anyone know?

I hear ya on that one, Hal, and the rest of the Corps are my favorites in the DC universe. I love the concept of indiviulality and at the same time the reality that they are part of a bigger agenda within the Corps! The Super Powers Green Lantern may just be my favorite figure of all time, still unsure of that, but he is a contender!
Does anyone out there know if there was an earlier rendition of a Green Lantern in any form other than 2-dimensional art?

To the best of my knowledge, Super Powers was first. He was overlooked by Mego for the 8" figures, and (as far as I know), he didn't get a Pocket Hero figure either. I was a huge Green Lantern fan as a kid in the early 1980s, and Super Powers was all I had.

Also one of my all time favorite characters. At least the super powers figure is awsome!! Not bad for a first figure!!

Actually Green Lantern has been around since July 1940 (Golden Age)

Actually Green Lantern has been around since July 1940 (Golden Age) I think he meant the more well-known incarnation (Hal Jordan and beyond). Alan Scott was never embedded in popular culture enough to warrant an action figure, nor were action figures even in existence back when he was still a protagonist in his own comic.
