It makes you have a slight sinking feeling when you order items from an ebay seller, especially from outside your own country, and while you're waiting for the items to arrive the seller gets 2 negative feedbacks out of his/her last three.

That is never a good sign. Hope you receive your item in good shape.

Something similar happened to me last year. The seller had good feedback for a number of non-toy sales, and was currently selling some toys for "too good to be true" prices. I took a chance. No tracking number, red flag #1. But I've ordered from China before with surprisingly low int'l shipping costs and received my purchases in about a month. I saw the seller was getting negative reviews for current sales of similar toys to what I bought, but gave him the benefit of the doubt as it was still possible the buyers were jumping the gun and not waiting long enough. I gave it the full length I had to file a claim (around 30 days I think?) and then filed the claim and got my money back shortly. I suspect either a legitimate seller's account got hacked or the early non-toy sales were a setup. But I don't see how the seller made any money from the scam as it was rather easy to get the refund. One of the few times the system worked as it should. Hope it works out for you too.

Thanks you guys for the good sentiments. The listing says it might be until the second week of October before I could get the items(one:12 collective Spock and Sulu)so it's probably too early for me to go into "panic" mode but the all of a sudden negative feedbacks give me cause for concern. Did these buyers run out of patience and jump the gun or is there something to this? The seller has sold quite a few of the two figures I ordered but since ebay keeps other bidders id's hidden I can't reach out and ask anyone else if they have gotten theirs or not.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. Anyone with a considerable amount of sales is going to rack up a few negatives, and these could be impatient people or something, there's no way to know for sure. As waywardmonk said, it's quite easy to get a refund, and paypal itself gives you 180 days to file a claim.

Okay, now I am starting to wonder if I will receive the figures. This seller just got four negative feedbacks in a row and one was for one of the figures I ordered. I have about $100 tied up in this and I can't even start to do anything until October 14 if the figures haven't arrived by then.

I assume that you paid with Paypal, so you will get the funds back if he does not come through, but I am sure that you would rather have the figures. Just file the complaint on the first day you can. You do not have to act immediately if there is a response from the seller within the time frame allowed.

I was awarded refunds for the two figures today. This crap wasted two months worth of time while the seller has received almost 50 negative feedbacks in the past 30 days. I don't collect much these days but so much for me buying from overseas sellers when on ebay.

I will never understand why people will keep trying to scam others on Ebay. I am sure that Ebay or Paypal pursues fraud charges if the villains are not collectible.
