If you are reading this and any Hastings stores are near you, chances are you have shopped there at least once. I was sad to find out that these stores are all closing as these stores are just about the last remaining store chain where you can go to buy specialty figure lines by Diamond Select, Neca, etc. It's also the last chain that was around during my collecting heyday of the late 90's/early 00's. When I first started collecting I predicted that one day figures would only be available online and this is another step in that direction. Also, sometimes I enjoy holding an item in my hand before I buy it and can actually see it "in the flesh" so to speak and can pick out the paint job I like best on a figure if multiples are available. Ordering online is great, but it takes away that part of collecting. I realize these stores were suffering since people don't buy DVDs and CDs and books and magazines like they used to, but it's a shame they couldn't have at least downsized and continued on. This was the last of the "destination" stores for figures other than Toys R Us.

All our Hastings closed YEARS ago. BAM (Books And More) has some stuff like Hastings did. Found my series 1 SLUG Zombies there.
