Hello! My name is Sam Wells and I own Toy de Jour with my wife in Chicago. I know a few of you but I'm glad to be a part of everything here. Personally I collect GI Joe as my main toy line but I have a bad habit of straying too often. Which I guess is why a vintage toy store eventually happened.
Additionally, I've worked as a vendor for Hasbro managing projects that include everything from full site redesigns & mobile apps to packaging. I also worked as the publisher at Devil's Due for several years when we held licenses for GI Joe, Voltron, Micronauts, Chucky, Halloween, Joe/Transformers, and more.
Now to go dig up all the old threads!

I love devil due's (and image's) run of gijoe. I'm still in the process of tracking them all down! Welcome to the boards!

Just one of each issue for reading or are you trying to get all the ridiculous variant covers too? I was lucky to pull them as they came in so I got one of everything and a few covers that don't actually exist...

Really just one reading copy..I know that I have a few of the variant covers..
Looking at my list I now have all of Image's 2004 series (1-25) and DDP's series (26-43).. Took several years to track them all down. I also have some declassified issues, and I was lucky enough to find a hardcover copy of Snake Eyes Declassified for $17 two years ago. The issues I'm trying to get now are several "America's Elite" issues, "master and apprentice I" issues 2,3 and 4, and "master and apprentice 2" issue #1. Gonna take me awhile longer to get those as well.

I wonder if IDW is ever going to republish some of the stuff that we did outside of the main series. It's free content to them so I don't see why they wouldn't. But they are taking their time releasing the "Disavowed" series so maybe there's just not that much demand for those books to be reprinted.

My local comic shop has a few issues of Americas elite on clearance for $1 that I could grab. I got my issues mostly at a local collectible show through the years. I don't think there is a super ton of demand for these issues...but the snake eyes declassified is quite expensive.
Not sure why the image/ddp runs arent in demand, they are great comic runs. As is the 4 various gijoe/transformer crossovers.

The stuff we got to do in the Joe TF crossovers is some of my favorite stuff. Tim put in Predacon, Lobotomaxx and Carcass! That's great.
