I opened a few of mine. The alien hangs from the tail pretty well. The skull dome doesn't snap on so I sometimes leave it off. I wish it really did have glow in the dark details like the package states. I wonder if that note was from an original package design and that is why it was not removed for the Reaction line. In March, I ordered a chrome t-800 terminator and a few Pulp Fiction characters. Can you imagine how many loose Alien figures there would be missing the dome and tongue if this figure had come out in 1979?

I'm still waiting on my Snake Plissken figures. I wonder how come they could make Arnold in Terminator but not in Predator? Something with rights? It would've been nice to get a Jesse Ventura Predator figure.

The monsters look great. And would work well with the remco 3.5" figures. I dont like the bright blue reaction logo on the bottom of the black and white card. The $20 price is great too . A line u can afford to collect. . A stsr trek or battlestar galactica line, planet of apes , V the series may be cool they made mockups for the figures and the ships

I went to Frank and Sons collectible show yesterday and many of the vendors had these. They are cool nostalgia, but kinda cheap imo. I saw a many of the various lines. The Alien was probably the best looking. They were $10 a pop at most of the vendors.

The local toy store here has a few for $10. I'm gonna scoop at least one of 'em up. They want $15 for the Aliens though. I wish they'd sell them loose, I'm just gonna rip it open and shit-can the bubble.

I was at an entertainment store yesterday and they had gotten several of the lines in. They are affordable at $9.99 each but I agree they do look a little cheap. I get the retro thing but maybe the only people thrilled with them might be fans of whatever series or movie they have made? This store had also gotten in the 4 inch scale Twilight Zone figures and I actually found them more appealing looking than the ReAction figures. That had been the opposite until I saw them in person but I passed on them as well. I finished my ReAction Alien set by buying "Dallas". The Alien figures were selling for $16.99 each as opposed to the newer ReAction figures. When I started buying the set at this store a figure at a time I thought the set was sold out online and after I bought about three of the five I found out some etailers had restocked and were selling them for about $56 each which was cheaper that five at $16.99 each but at least I got to actually look at the paint jobs to pick the best ones.

I was quite surprised to see the Firefly figures for sale at a Target last night. I didn't see any mainstream retailers selling these in my mind.

I'm visiting relatives in Florida and hit a Toys R Us in Brandon yesterday. Saw a bunch of ReAction figures there at $9.99, including Firefly, Back to the Future, Terminator and Escape from New York!

the reactions figures are popping up everywhere and im not really sure how they managed it? they are a bit cheap looking and seem sort of specialty market to be getting into wal marts and targets and in book stores and all sorts of places. I don't think its going to be a good over exposure either because they are cheap looking and I think they will sit for a long time. I agree im not really into the retro style thing and only buy them because there are no other options for most of the lines. and im sort of confused why the reaction line is doing so well and has so many licenses, because I think the company doing the twilight zone figures and the company that did the bionic man figures both look much better and still in the retro style.

I picked up the Alien at Walmart. As to whether they will sell or not...I guess adults who buy toys or nostalgia merch will buy them. They weren't in the toy section, they were on an impulse display near the registers and it worked for me.

I'm disappointed with most of the figures. I really like the retro style, but the sculpts are pretty bad. I saw Terminator, Escape from New York, & Back to the Future at TRU and I saw Alien & Firefly figures at 2nd & Charles. I did pick up a Kanamit & an Alien figure. They look cool and are the ones I'm most interested in. I patiently waited till I found them at the $9.99 retail online, but it looks like sellers are beginning to drop below that price to try and move them. I noticed the T800 skeleton comes in a flat grey and a shiny chromed version. The chrome version looked good, but I passed on it. The twilight zone figures come in black & white and color. I originally got a b/w version because sellers were asking too much for the colorized ones, but the skin color does not look right at all in grey. I ended up picking up a color one for $9.99 now which looks much better.

I saw the Nightmare Before Christmas and the Horror Classics at 2nd & Charles. Good timing for Halloween and these all looked pretty decent. I think the Horror line will be big sellers.

I saw the Horror Series figures of Freddy, Jason, and The Crow today and I think they look better than some of the other figures I've seen. I also think the Nightmare Before Christmas figures look pretty decent although I have no interest in them. Still waiting to see the Universal Monsters in person.

My bad. They go nicely together though They DO look quite similar. The Twilight Zone figures look better than some of the ReAction ones, imo. And the COLOR Zone figures look better than the b&w to me as well.

I like the Reaction Alien figures a lot and I thought I would try a few of these other properties. I looked at Terminator and Back to Future figures at Target and they all have various manufacturing defects. I am not that picky and one problem is hard to miss. It looks as if the necks are too large so when they get assembled , the torso splits open at the top. In the meantime , part of my Pulp Fiction order arrived. For now, they are only shipping Jimmie Dimmick, Vincent Vega ,Jules Winnfield. The quality looks a little better on these so I am happy.

Hmmm....I'll have to watch out for the split necks on these.

I bought all 8 of the reaction universal monsters figures & the glow in the dark mummy variation for myself. I got the Jason Vorhees, Michael Myers, and Freddy Krueger for my son. I think they look pretty cool... looking forward to seeing what else they come out with. Here's a picture of the Monster figures for anyone who hasn't seen these yet.

the reaction line has the most properties and figures. but I think the biff bang pow and Ziga figures look way better. to me reaction are going too far back with the retro look and just in general their figures look sort of cheap quality wise. sculpt wise I think the alien itself looks pretty good, but technically that's not their culpt anyway. also the universal monsters and the freddy, Jason and mike myers I think look a lot better than most of the rest of the line.

I was at the local mall last night and saw the Nightmare before Christmas reaction figures. I bought 2 Jack Skellington figures... the one with the surprised expression and one with the evil smile. You'd think that they'd have made a figure of Jack in the Santa suit.

Quite a few ReAction figures have come out now and about the only ones that look decent to me are the Universal Monsters and The Nightmare Before Christmas, and maybe the Big Trouble In Little China ones. The others in my opinion look like varying degrees of crap. I am a lifelong fan of the original Star Trek but at this point I honestly can't say whether I will buy the ReAction Trek figures because from what I have seen of them they fall into the "look like crap" category. This is unfortunate because I was looking forward to a 3.75" scale Trek line but I don't know if I'm going to buy them simply because the name "Star Trek" is slapped on them. If I did stuff like that I would have went and seen J.J. Abrams' Trek movies. I would almost rather pay a custom figure maker a premium price to make me new 4.5" Playmates figures out of old ones because at least they are better detailed and they actually have articulation to them.

I mostly agree. I have noticed the size of the heads being mentioned multiple times at other forums. I like to believe a more accurate Star Trek line could happen someday for the 3.75"-4" scale. Though, that only matters if you are partial to that scale (like I am). For most people, the 4.5" playmates line is the way to go. I am still watching the Reaction line in hopes that something cool will come along .
