A few years ago, I came across this line on a toy site and thought alot of the figures looked really cool. I'm a sucker for Spideys rogues gallery anyway, so I bought a lot with 6 or so carded figures, including Mysterio and Hobgoblin, 2 of my favorite baddies in all the Marvel Universe. I had heard people complain about poor sculpting and lame action features, I have to disagree. The sculpting was based OFF the cartoon, hence the name of the line, so they aren't supposed to look like Marvel legends. Also, for when they came out, what other Superhero lines were out that had a lot of characters and diversity, that were better sculpts? I can't think of any, honestly. (other than the other toy biz lines which I also liked, like the Fantastic 4 line, Iron Man, and X Men. As for the action features, the first however many waves seem to have normal, pretty cool features. not weird stuff that doesn't go with the character, and the acessories later on when they started coming in the bigger bubbles with the collectors pins are really nice. I have since started to collect these again, it seems the value has gone up, especially on Scorpion (love how they made him)and Carnage (I've seen some sell for as high as $40), but also on figures I had like Shocker, Venom 2 and Lizard, who was dirt cheap when I bought him, I think like $3. Anyway, I now have 20, displayed on my wall where my Marvel Universe figs were, and have another in the mail (Carnage). Just wanted to know everyones thoughts on the line. I can't speak on quality of plastic since mine are all carded.

Toybiz is still unmatched with awesome-ness (in my opinion) for their extensive Marvel lines of the 90's. When I think about the 90's, Marvel figures is what I think most people remember including myself. I loved the Animated Spider Man line. I remember having quit a lot of them, but not a complete set. The later waves had some of the best characters, like the Red Skull, Silver Sable, and Blade.

I didn't know there was a Blade, I'll have to check that out. I have seen the Red Skull and Silver Sable, those were when they started having all the crazy accessories, some were cool, some waves were just bizarre. I like the Jack-O-Lantern they made in that bug wave.

I really like the line and am kind of a sucker for early Toybiz Superhero lines. Not so much on the Spidey variants though.

Yeah, the Spidey variants would be the least important to me. I only have a few because they came in a lot. I just got Hydro man though, super cool
