Hi,
I've been thinking about the SDCC 2009 exclusive Wonder Twins recently. The price is always jacked up on eBay, and auction-based sales still go for quite a bit....but it seems to me that this is mainly due to the kick-ass packaging. The sound chips and lights...it's really the only reason I'd love to get this MIB.
However...
Can you replace the batteries!?
I've been looking high and low for this information and no review I can find mentions this. I mean, it has to be powered by something. I'm assuming it's one of those little watch batteries.
So unless they can be replaced, the sealed package is a ticking time bomb of wasted money. Once the battery dies, the value would plummet. Not to mention when the battery bursts and leaks.
Hmmmm....now that I'm thinking about it. I have a Celebration III Darth Vader on my wall! *pause while I take it down*....Whew! The audio still works! And Hasbro conveniently put an accessible battery compartment via a screw plate! Nice.
Anyway, anyone own a Wonder Twins that could shed some light? Am I missing something? Do I need to hold out for a busted box or a set loose to save $$?
Thanks

Never mind. The seller of the auction I was eyeballing got back to me saying that yes, you can replace the batteries. So that's good to know!
