They had a promo picture at SDCC of a dewback also. I'm pumped for that. Out of the other stuff they've shown, I might be interested in Rex.

Tarkin looks pretty good but I have no need of him, really. The interrogation droid alone is a tempting accessory though. I like Gree also. The paint looks decent enough and the new torso is cool with what I guess is a comm backpack. Now having seen review pics of the SDCC speeder set (which supposedly boasts more value-added features than the upcoming retail version), I am way less excited for it. The head on Luke looks derpy as hell, and giving him a cloth tunic was a dumb idea (although that originated with the already mass released Farmboy figure). I like the accessories though, and the speeder doesn't look bad, but it doesn't seem like it's worth the MSRP. These guys are a tad underwhelming. I mean, it's all right but somehow I thought he'd be a better figure. Something is off. Wish he could really hold a rifle pose and the heavy vinyl skirt makes him kinda hard to stand. Noticed some figs are pretty easy to find under $10 now. Jyn Erso and Cassian can be had for under $7 online, and also Jakku Finn but he has been cheap for a long while. Hasbrotoyshop has First Order stormies for $8.99 on eBay. I think I'll pass, but it gave me pause. TFA snowtroopers I also saw on Amazon for like $8.49.

I saw the speeder sets and a few other black series this weekend but I didn't get any. I might go back for the Vader #43. My sons birthday is coming up so I loaded up on Ninjago, Minecraft, ninja Turtles, and some obscure video game characters that he likes, like Five Nights At Freddie's.

$60 I think is a bit steep for what they are. If they're like the other vehicles they've released they'll probably get marked down considerably in a few months. The Rey speeder looks pretty nifty the more I see of it and she looks cool in that scavenger outfit with the headgear.
Look at the pegs though--they still got a Constable Zuvio and other TFA figures in there! It's been 2 years, discount 'em already and make room for the new shit!

I finally decided to get the 40th Anniversary figures, the 3.75" figures that are $15 each and pretty much pre-posed and the $60 Scout Walker that's probably been lingering on shelves for at least a year but only because Wal-Mart brought back the layaway for the Christmas season. So I guess technically I only have the Vader and Leia in my possession until I pay off the layaway but I have until December 11 to scrounge up the $100 to get the items out of hock.

The hobby is so slow though, is there enough new stuff to come out to fill the pegs? 10+ years ago stuff like the Zuvio figures would have been cleared out way before now but the way things are at present....

Now there is. There's been the whole 40th wave of 12 figures, Lando, the ERG, Thrawn, Rex, Hera, Gree, now the 2 speeders and the Last Jedi wave and probs some others. 2016 was a bit on the slow side though because between TFA and Rogue One waves there was only a handful of retailer exclusive TFA figures, two Rebels characters, and Darth Revan I believe. Still, they should have cleared out that TFA stock months ago. Whatever the store chadmon's pic comes from also still has some Rogue One pegwarmers in there. e2a: I've heard that AT-ST is all kinds of good. Considered getting it myself. Nice pick!

You said the interior of the Landspeeder isn't very roomy. I sat in what was supposed to be an actual Landspeeder at the auto museum in Branson, Mo and I couldn't even extend my legs out while sitting behind the wheel and I'm not even an extremely tall person. I had to cough up $10 to get a couple of pics in it but how many times in your life do you get a chance to actually sit in one ?

Once, apparently. For $10 they should at least give you a ride around the parking lot in it!

At least that was the only vehicle in the museum I "took the bait" on, largely because my wife insisted !

Too bad they didn't have a chicken walker you can cruise around in. I'd be packin' my bags for Branson.

I actually was thinking of this in one of my rare trips to the mall recently. They have these ride-on animals you can rent and jaunt all over with. They didn't have a tauntaun or anything cool though, and so I walked depressingly on foot to the Lego store and Spenser Gifts like a peasant.

I have gone on record that I'm not into Star Wars 6" figures which remains true but I will have to admit I bought a General Leia from TLJ. The figure was on clearance for $5 which added some appeal plus the fact that I don't already have 15-20 versions of Leia from TLJ and the figure's paint job actually isn't too bad and I have to give the much-maligned (by myself) Disbro credit on the figure's decent sculpt. I may seek out a 6" Luke and Han from the new movies to display with Leia as a sort of "the old gang" type of thing.

Then you need Chewie, R2, Threepio, Old Ben... and they'd look silly without Darth and a bunch of stormies. And if you wanna get technical, Grand Moff Tarkin really was just as much of a big bad in that film, so you should really get him also. To that point, you might as well just grab them all.
I read elsewhere that the Black Series landspeeder was down to $20 on Amazon. Pretty sweet deal. Nudge, nudge.
I really kinda wanna ditch this series and work on other collecting goals because there'll always be more and better SW stuff down the line... but they keep hooking me back in. This time, it's that they just started soliciting the dewback and Gamorrean guard.

I know what you mean about getting hooked again, it's like every time I try to get away, they pull me back in. Like the Star Wars prequels. I was off of that stuff until I found that darn Clone Turbo Tank....

I did buy the Target exclusive 6" TLJ Luke Skywalker today and I couldn't say no to a 6" Qui-Gon Jinn for $6.99 at Dillons. I saw the Tusken Raider and I will say the paint job is pretty good but I also saw a farm boy Luke and still cringed at the overly-pale paint job and I feel they should have went plastic and not soft goods with his tunic. Just my opinion.

Aye, the Luke I have looks a little too close to Frank N. Furter for my liking. I was briefly toying with the idea of getting a custom head for him, but he will probably be replaced eventually anyway.

Thought I'd share this very random and weirdly cool toy bit here in case anyone is interested. This is a fight droid two pack of windup toys from the Disney Store they reviewed at the Fwoosh. They look pretty neat for a $10 set and scale with 6" figures well. I haven't even seen the movie yet but I imagine they're like the SW version of Battlebots or cockfighting or some such conglomeration of the two. I hate the mall but I might have to swing by and pick up a set of these.
