I did find the black outfit Superman with red eyes at Wal-Mart, but I have yet to see the General Zod in shackles. Don't know if I want him since he looks the same as the first Zod they put out, any difference besides the shackles?

Don't know if I want him since he looks the same as the first Zod they put out, any difference besides the shackles? A scar on the left side of his face. It took me a while to notice it. The other Zod doesn't have it. I saw the "black" Superman once but couldn't afford him. The shackled Zod is a common find in my area at this point in time.

I came across a Superman in black with the red eyes again and went ahead and picked him up. It seems like the faces on the newer-released versions of Superman in his blue and red movie outfit have more of a cleaner, "well shaved" look to them than earlier cases.

I bought a carded 3 3/4" Superman figure yesterday that I hadn't seen before. Superman was in his suit that was painted black and white and he was called "Laser Sight" Superman. Then, later in the day, I found a Target exclusive 5 pack that has three previously released 3 3/4" figures but also came with a 3 3/4" Jor-El and a figure that was about 5 inches tall called Namek. Overall it's a fairly bizarre exclusive imo, but I bought it mainly for the Jor-El figure plus the set was $13.49, down from $22.99.

I came across another exclusive from this line, this time at Kohl's. This one features a large vehicle with two action figures. The vehicle can shoot those missile-type things that look like Superman. The vehicle is called Strike Ship. The vehicle can also somehow also be combined with the two smaller ships that are available elsewhere. It was $24.99, down from $49.99 and being an exclusive it caught my interest.

Here are the two smaller vehicles that can attach to the Strike Ship. I didn't know these could hold a figure until I bought the Strike Ship.

I had to get these since they were on clearance at K-Mart. I love the figs. Why would Superman ever need weapons or a shield?

Why would he need a vehicle like the Strike Ship, unless he was traveling in space near a location where there might be some Kryptonite ? I like the figures as well, the colors and how they were done. Also I think I'm living out something I wanted to do as a child after seeing Superman III in the theater. I remember leaving the theater that day in '83 wishing I could go buy some figures from the movie like I had with other movies such as Star Wars, Star Trek, etc.

I guess Supes might need a ship if he had some dry-cleaning to drop-off, couple boxes of Oreos, a bunch of Nintendo DS games. Stuff that won't fit into his cape. But yeah, ships, armor + weapons for Superman is mostly silly...
Picked up 'Red Superman' w/ wreckin' ball for cheap just to see what they're like, mmm... okay, but generally I'm findin' most modern 3 3/4" figs to be somewhat... anorexic and uninspired compared to vintage Joes & Super Powers.

These definitely aren't anorexic! I know what you mean though. I think most new figs are over-articulated, and figs like this bring my mind back to a simpler time. Reminds me of the Lion-O and Tygra that came with the little tanks that were only 5-points, I really enjoyed those. I agree that they shouldn't cost $10, that's a little crazy. I wish I could've found the red wrecking ball one on clearance, he's really nice and would be a good compliment to the others I have.
Spock-are you gonna open those ships so we can see them combined? I was also wondering if the bigger one had wheels. Or any of them, I guess.
