I saw some threads on the other ones, but not these. I almost bought a loose set of the seven original figures (no bridge, which I discovered later after researching was supposed to come with them) .
Were these 3 3/4" figures?

I don't believe Playmates ever made a 3 3/4" line based on the original crew. They did for the J.J. Abrams Trek movie. Playmates made 5 inch, 9 inch, and 12 inch figures based on the original crew. Around 1994 they released a boxed set of the original bridge crew 5 inch figures that were packaged with a cardboard representation of the bridge.

From what I was looking at later, it must have been the 5" set that came with the bridge. The photo I saw after the sale had a large Captain's chair, but you are right, the rest must have been cardboard.
Thanks,

Nurse Chapel and Yeoman Rand weren't included with the set.

Those must be prototypes as they look better than the ones I saw.

Actually, these figures pictured are from my collection.

The ones I saw did not seem as detailed to look as much like the actual people as yours do. That is really odd.
