HEROES OF TAJALAN - A new indie toyline

Hello everybody
I'm on a very fun project, i'm working on it with my wife Silvia.
Our project is to create a new, very rich, high detailed, fully articulated toyline of action figures, with many characters, creatures, vehicles and maybe some playsets. The quality will be HIGH and the price will be CHEAPEST possible.
We are not yet a brand, for now we are just 2 people This is our project, our dream: to create a new toyline, based on classic action figures of the '80s and classic characters of fantasy and science fiction.

HEROES OF TAJALAN is the name of our toyline.
There are the good heroes, and the evil villains.
Each faction have a lot of characters! There are over 80 characters (including troops, beasts and giants) under development! The world where they live their adventures and they fight is TAJALAN a system of 99 planets.

HEROES OF TAJALAN will be a mix of fantasy and science-fiction elements, with barbarians, sexy heroines, monsters, space fighters, demons, vampires, undeads, dwarves, robots, spaceships, dungeons, castles and more!!!
From when we were kids, we always loved toyline like Masters of the Universe, Blackstar, The Other World, Micronauts, Infaceables, Golden Girl, Princess of Power and all the similar fantasy/sci-fi toylines.
Our toyline, is similar to this concepts of sword&sorcery plus space elements, like Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers, Dan Dare etc. But there are also "wild" elements, like Conan the Barbarian, Tarzan, John Carter.

For now, we can just do color sketches, with some infos and details... that's what i'm gonna do here: i will show you our characters in the sketches. I hope you will like all of them!
In the next couple of years, we will try to realize them in action figure, we hope it will be a good work.

Each figure of HEROES OF TAJALAN will have also a minifigure: the heroic guys have the "Skeletrics" and the evil guys have the "Gnarps"

Today we begin with the two main heroes: male and female!

This is GRAYGER, OUR MALE HERO: he's like He-man/Blackstar/Lion-O! The main hero, always brave, strong and loyal. He is one of the seven bearer of the elements. His element is the WATER.
Grayger have the magic armour of the Black Lion, and the sacred sword of the Water. He possess an incredible stamina and strenght, and he can call all the heroes of Tajalan in the planet with the magic power of the armour, who can roar.
His armour also protect him from the enemies, with an invisible magic pure-like-water shield. The power of water cannot be harmed with evil powers or substances like damnation, poison, necromancy, decay and all those kind of creepy stuff
He's similar to the unicorn: you know, very pure. His power can also heal the others from this evil powers and substances.
The sacred sword of Water can be used as a normal sword, or can also become liquid and more long or large, and can cut almost anything, also the most harder material.
Grayger have also a magic shield (i still have to draw this) and ride a huge gray water lion, called AZHURION (i will reveal him in the future).



This is SHANI, OUR FEMALE HERO: Shani command the HEROES OF TAJALAN with the mighty GRAYGER. Together they stand unite to protect TAJALAN from the evil forces of NECROMANTYS.

Shani have the elemental power of FIRE.
Her weapon, the FIRE CLUB made of pure magic rubins, can shot powerful fireballs to destroy any enemy!
Her strenght have no limit, she's smart, beautiful and without any fear. Beware forces of evil! You have no chance if SHANI is on the battleground!!!
Shani can also call the power of fire to become a fire-star-creature: in this form she can also fly, and shot fireballs.
Shani have a very wise magic black cat called NEUO as a puppy, and also a war-phoenix called AJANTI.



And now, some words about the SKELETRICS (the minifigures of the heroic forces):

These small but brave warriors come from one of the 99 planets Tajalan, an urban world now conquered and destroyed by the armies of NECROMANTYS.
The SKELETRICS have fought with all their might against the terrible forces of evil led by NECROMANTYS and his minions, but despite their tenacity and their skill in battle, they were eventually defeated and overwhelmed.
A few of them were a small group of veterans who do not intend to bow to the will of the evil, and resist the continual attacks of the MUTADEADS (the armies of undead mutants in the service of NECROMANTYS).
The SKELETRICS intend to avenge the deaths of their comrades and the destruction of their civilization at all costs! There are many of them ... and also if they are small, NECROMANTYS cannot underestimate them!

Regarding the toys ... each "hero" from HEROES OF TAJALAN toyline will have ONE (or more in the case of creatures and XL figures) of the Skeletrics (the body will be the same, but some details and the weapons will be different). Remember the vintage 80's toylines of "Blackstar" (with Trobbits and Alien Demons?) and "The Other World" (with Jipps and Mogs)?? Well, the same here

Well, some more good guys:

This is STARLIGHT, the first character created for the line.
He's one of the most important characters. He's very funny, positive and always smiling.
Starlight is a scout, he can talk with animals, track enemies and he can use the power of phosphorescent light (this is also his gimmick!).
The armour, the swords and some details in his crown, belt and bracelets are all phosphorescent.



This is BARK-WAR, the second character created for the line.
Bark-War is a powerful warror, he use his huge extendable hammer to crush enemies and destroy everything it's on his way.
He's very loyal and friendly with his allies. He was once the general of an army, but after a long war with Necromantys and his armies, his world was defeated and destroied.
He was one of the few survivors.



This is LUUNA, the third character created for the HEROES OF TAJALAN.
Luuna can change his body using metamorphosis: she can transform from a giant moving chrysalid to a beautiful moth-lady able to fly. She's a skilled fighter, and a very graceful ally!!!
LUUNA is a part of a deluxe extralarge pack: we have her, the chrysalid giant and TWO new Skeletrics! With silver and bronze armours: Gluck and Hutch!



This is POL-POR, he is the most old and loial friend of SANDER SUNN, the heroic Space-man. POL-POR went through a lot of space adventures with his friend, saving him a lot of times from many enemies. POL-POR is a valid warrior, pilot and tactician, but he's also a medic and a scientist: a real genious. He is the brain in the HEROES OF TAJALAN team.
With his experience in the battlefield, and his vaste knowledge of the known universe, he can always have a good advice for his friends and comrades.

Your art looks really good. Is this something that's actually in production, or more like a 'what if...' scenario?
The minifigure inclusion is an excellent strategy for any action figure line. I wish more companies would do this.

Ghouldrool: it's a project for a real toyline, my toyline. I would produce as soon as possible. I think it will take one to two years for the first produced characters... i will keep you updated

Very cool! When I first saw the title of this prospective line the first thing to pop in my head were not fantasy-based figures for some reason so it was a nice surprise to see it was. Overall, the hobby needs something more interesting than half the lines currently out there in my opinion.

some new characters we just created:

This is BARBARUG!
The EVIL KING OF BARBARIANS!

This evil ruler of the barbarian peoples is a formidable warrior, skilled with every type of melee weapon. NECROMANTYS counting on him and on his troops to reinforce its armies, and reach the most remote places of TAJALAN.
BARBARUG and his barbarians are accustomed to fight on any kind of terrains and know large areas of territory unknown to most of the peoples of TAJALAN.

The appearance of BARBARUG, but also of his men, is due to ingestion of a toxic substance contained in a poisonous plant, the barbarians assume that from childhood: that makes them stronger, durable and insensitive to pain and fatigue. Moreover, thanks to this toxin, if an enemy cut off their arms, legs or hands, they are able to grow back.

BARBARUG can also count on the support of his faithful raptor EVIL-BEARD, a ruthless creature that he sent on ahead, and that helps him to hunt down his prey.



This is ZUNDAR! The evil lava-basher fighter!!!

This formidable and skillful fighter, uses of special steel fist, that thanks to the elemental lava-power of his body, become incandescent, and destroy anything, even the most resistant!

Zundar is much appreciated by Necromantys, as he is a fighter devoid of ideas and thoughts will only execute orders, without objection.
But, his total lack of intelligence, often leads him to fail its destructive missions.
If, however, Zundar is accompanied by some of the other servants of Necromantys, such as Plant-a-Trap or Scavenger, which are very astute, then it becomes a very dangerous enemy, difficult to counter!



This is RAUDENBLATT, the evil bewitched henchman!

Raudenblatt was once the faithful servant of the powerful and wicked witch KAROHDRA.
But then, the witch was defeated and beheaded by GRAYGER in a epic duel. Unfortunately, GRAYGER did not know that the wicked witch KAROHDRA had such a dark magical power, which killed her was not enough to defeat it altogether.

NECROMANTYS immediately took advantage of the situation, and raised his head through the dark power that was left in the body of the witch.
KAROHDRA had lost the ability to think, speak and then dial dark spells, but it could still be dangerous: she was able to levitate like a ghost, spitting fire from his mouth, and quickly scour vast territories, telepathically connecting his eyes with those of his RAUDENBLATT old servant, who NECROMANTYS decided to use for his own purposes.

RAUDENBLATT was a perfect tool: faithful, submissive and basically a rotten soul.
To make it more formidable, NECROMANTYS also gives him an ancient weapon of destruction: the magic Claw of Anger, who can cut any material.

Thanks to the ability of the servant, to his ancient weapon, and the head of the revived flying witch, now NECROMANTYS can count on two new allies really dangerous!

The main characters look awesome!!!!!! but I must say I do not like the design of the Skeletrics at all, they are just really bland.
