I recently picked up a original 1986 G.I. Joe (still sealed, and in great condition). Not a big name (Machine Gunner I think), but pretty darn cool nonetheless. I will post some pics later tonight when I get home. I have never seen one of these before.
I have a question about action figure grading. I have never had a figure graded before, but the one that I picked up (especially for it's age) is in very good shape (IMO). I looked around, and graded figures of this set sell for DRASTICALLY more than those that are not.
I am a HUGE fan of the 3 3/4 inch GI Joe, so this is a very nice addition to my collection. Anyone else have any of these out there? I paid $30 for the one that I picked up, and I feel that I got a really good deal. The shop that I picked it up from had a couple of Chinese releases from the same era, but I guess those aren't as sought after?

I would guess that your figure would grade a 75 or an 80 if you sent it to AFA. The grading cost vs. price differential on that probably makes it not worthwhile if you are planning on selling it as it really needs to be an AFA 85 or higher to make a big price difference, but those cases are great if you wanna keep it. $30 for him was a nice score!

That's pretty cool! I managed to get a Spanish language Destro (my guess is Argentinian) on card a few years back. I can't remember how much I paid for it, but it wasn't much. It looks cool, but the card itself is warped almost like it had been wet. Don't know how much it's worth, though.
I always like looking at foreign versions of action figures.
