The subject line says it all. I have been looking for a good lot to pick up off Ebay for awhile now with no luck yet. I want to start collecting these figures and as of now only have a MIB Map Room. Man these are espensive, even figures that are missing some weapons! Anyone collect this line out there? What are some of the going prices for these figures loose and complete. Some collection pics would be cool to.

It looks like I will be getting a loose incomplete Sallah and Toht figures in a trade. They have their cape and robe though. At least it is a start.

I actually had a totally complete mint set of these toys from the figures to the vehicles. Some I bought sealed in the box and opened them, only way to guarantee Mint! Anyway I bought my marian and indy for $100 a piece sealed in original mailer baggies. This line is ver, very expensive!!!

What about the Temple of Doom figures? I don't see these as often as the others on Ebay. I think there were only 3 figures in the line.

yep there were 3 (indy, Mola Ram, and a giant thugee). Willie and Short round were produced in prototype form but never released. Side note of trivia here Pat Roach who played General Kael in Willow was a giant thugee, as well as the german mechanic that Indy fights and a member of the nazi's in Last crusade. Check it out here. slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Wrestling/2004/07/17/546943.html

I'm just trying to pick up some loose mint/complete figures right now. I bought a dead mint Indiana Jones on ebay for $8 several weeks ago. Sadly, he didn't have his gun or whip. I would like to pick up some of the others at some point.

I dont know if you will have much luck finding someone to part with the gun and whip as they are really expensive. I would suggest buying a loose complete one and trading your indy off for a few of the other figures that you are missing. Just my .02 though.

I think the reason Indy's thumb breaks is because his hand is hard plastic that breaks instead of bends, and that whip accessory's handle is designed to fit tightly only when you push it in harder. I'm sure the stress on that thumb adds up over time.
I have a lot of these including the Well of Souls and Indy's horse back from when I was younger. I remember once finding a whole bunch of them on clearance very cheaply, too. Wow, I should have bought them all! (As it is I just got a second Indy to replace my worn out one, the horse and I think Belloq and the Indy in nazi uniform that day.) Pretty cool figures though. A shame they're so scarce and expensive.

I'm looking forward to continuing this line. I doubt I'll ever buy an incomplete fig again though after what I went through trying to find Indy's weapons. I'm just glad I got them even if they did cost me about $30. Add that to the price of Indy and I picked him up for only about $40 mint/complete. Not too shabby considering another mint/complete sold on eBay this week for $100.

OK so I have someone who wants to sell me a mint Indy without any weapons for 20.00 US plus shipping, I think that this may be a high price for a loose incomplete figure as they are going for 12.00 on ebay but what does everyone think? Fair price or not?

Just think, it may take you years (if ever) to find his weapons. $20 seems a little high. Maybe $15 if your cool with owning him with no weapons.

madmartigan37, were you the other guy trying to buy that Indy from the seller on Rebelscum? He ended up selling it to me. I was plenty glad to pay $20 just to put my mind to rest after going through so much trouble to get him.
Basically, here's what happened:
After losing a number of eBay auctions, I got a nice mint Indy (no weapons) for about $8 last year. For three months I searched high and low for weapons. I finally stumbled across someone who was willing to part with them in a trade. The problem was I had nothing to trade him. I ended up buying an A-Wing pilot to trade him for about $40 (if I remember correctly). When I got the weapons, I put the gun in Indy's hand (ever so gently because I know how fragile thumbs are on these things), and after removing it, I found a hairline crack running in a circle around his thumb. It is possible that the crack was always there and that the slight pressure of the gun made it more obvious. After losing many, many eBay auctions, I finally found a minty Indy minus the weapons five months later on Rebelscum(the one you were also looking at). That brings my total to $68 for a mint complete Indy and another Indy with no weapons and a very slight crack in his thumb. As soon as he arrives, I'm putting him and the two weapons in a baggie until I can get a new cabinet up. My mind will be at rest and I'll let out a little sigh. lol
I think I have some kind of collector's curse when it comes to Indy.

I just bought a Marion figure (mint, white, complete with monkey and stand) on eBay. I had to pay quite a bit for it ($65 - the most I've EVER paid for a loose figure), but it was worth it just to have a mint/complete example of this hard to get figure. Now I just need Toht, regular Belloq, and the playsets. I also might pick up another Indy and sell the two I have right now. Both of them have a dingle flaw that makes me a little unhappy with them. Indy has become the one figure that has been the bane of my collection. I can't seem to win with that one. I might buy a carded one (bad shape card) to take out and sell the two I have (one complete, one not) to cover my costs.

ya I know, this is one figure that is really tough to find without some form of damage to him. Do any of the other figures suffer from the same problems with the hands?

I've found that the German disguise Indy can. Mine has a very slight hairline crack in the center of his hand. As I mentioned earlier though, the crack in the center of his hand isn't as threatening, I don't think. It would take a lot of force to break his entire hand, but not so much to break a thumb, so the crack in the thumb, even though a little harder to see, is probably a little scarier. I haven't seen this kind of thing with the other figures in the line, but I'm still missing a few of them. I know the Indy that comes with the map room is usually thumbless in auctions. I'm not sure if Toht, the Monkey Man, or Belloq (carded version) suffer from this problem.

I joined this forum a while back in hopes that I could hunt down the gun and whip for my loose 1982 Indiana Jones figure. Well I stumbled across someone who just happened to pick up both accessories in a large lot of Star Wars figures on eBay over at Rebelscum. After a month and a half of hard work and hunting for something to trade him(and four months overall since the main hunt began in August), it has finally come to an end. I'm jumping out of my seat right now! I'll still be hanging around here for a long time to come. It's a good community with a lot of nice people. I'll be starting on the rest of the Indiana Jones line soon so you never know what I'll be hunting for next. Thanks to everyone who has been so friendly to me. Here's to many more years of hunting and collecting! -Nate

That's it so far. I was waiting on completing Indy before moving on to the rest of the line.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I only own a loose Toht, loose Cairo Swordsman and a MIB Map Room playset. I still need Tohts gun and the Swordsman's weapons. I picked up the Map Room about 7 years ago at an antique mall outside of Minneapolis for about $15. I was on my way to see a WCW show.

Well I'm excited. I guess I wasn't quite done spending today. I just picked up Sallah, German Indy, and German Mechanic all mint/complete. Now I'm only missing Toht, Marion, and regular Belloq aside from the playsets and extras.

I think I got by pretty good when I got a vintage Cairo Swordsman on ebay for $0.99. He is missing the small dagger that he came with but he has the sword and he looks like he's in pretty good condition. I believe the same seller had a complete Toht that was going for over $16.00 last I saw. This happened late last night.

The only MOC Indy figures I have are Sallah and The Arabian Horse, and it was the score of a lifetime. It was 1990, I was 14, and with my Dad vacationing in Northern Michigan. We were at this little gift shop full of cheap and crappy stuff. There they were, just sitting on the shelf, I don't remember how much I paid, but it couldn't have been more than $5. I had more of them when I was a kid, but of course opened them, but I was just old enough to know I should keep these 2 in the package! I still have them to this day.
