Here are some more MOTU style knock offs. This time they are American Gladiators knock offs called Challengers. They seem to be made with similar parts from the long arm versions of Sungold Wrestlers only with cool looking paint job to make them like American Gladiators. There are a couple of unique head sculpts, but they are horribly ugly (The 2 on the left in the group photo below). I currently have 8 and I know of at least 2 more that I've seen and still need, but could be more. The card art is easily identified as the Joust event on the front and Assault on the back from the show.

There was a comment from a new guy earlier I read here today, but has since been removed (spamming, I guess) that said something about a play set for these guys. Does anybody know anything about that? That would be awesome if that's true. The assault would be perfect as that was my favorite event.
I've never heard of these guys until now, but yes, I like the detail as well Nice shapes, etc. would be nice to find all of these guys. Yes, American Gladiators were always a favourite of mine They'd always show it late at night and we would watch it will have to be on the lookout for these Nice find Terrible Tony

Drop me a PM, I would be happy to work out a trade if you need him. I understand how important it is to sooth that fire. I bought him as a fluke, and as he is my only one, I won't be causing a hole in my collection.
lol, it pleases me how many times some of these heads get re-used; there's Rahh and Triton AGAIN and Action Captain too (and going by the back of the box, it seems like they were going to/did put out that bearded Wrestler figure again too!)

Yeah it's crazy when you see figures reused for new lines. God knows what other bastardised figures are out there! I sometimes think even when looking at figures from a few years ago, wonder if any reused parts from old lines!

Hi Homeschoolman, as figurecollector says I can't sell any here just now until I reach my 30 posts! Which will be soon, so watch this space. I've sold some on various facebook pages and stuff, and once my 30 post limit is met I'll sell some here. Then whatever is left will go on eBay.
You are right though, it was like finding buried treasure Nice to know stuff like this still pops up
