Has anyone ever heard of power cruisers? The only info I can find on them is a tv commercial from 1984: here are the pics of the vehicle I found: The whole thing pulls apart and it looks to scale with 3 3/4" figures. It took three D batteries and had a simple stop and go switch with another switch for a searchlight. Was this thing related to any other line or was it it's own independent line.

Wow! I had totally forgotten about these! I'm pretty sure they were their own independant line - if I remember right they were an early 1980's toy (or late 1970's). I remember wanting one although I think the one I wanted was a light tan color...

The date on it says 1984 CBS Toys. In the commercial I found there was a smaller vehicle sold seperately that could dock in the vehicle that was off white. Maybe that's the one you're thinking of.

I like the retro futuristic 80's look of it. I thought I'd heard of this line, "High Risers," when you mentioned it, but I was mistaken. I was getting it confused with an old 70's, biker, action extravaganza entitled, "Hi-Riders." Not the crowning achievement of Darby Hinton's film career. Still highly recommended and a great display of his acting chops nonetheless.
