Hi Everyone,
I have been getting a little frustrated when I try and find threads on here pertaining to a certain line. I try and use the search engine for whatever I am looking for and I usually come up with nothing. I then post a new thread only to discover that a thread already exists. What am I doing wrong? For instance, today I wanted to look up Air Raiders since I am fascinated with this line that I somehow never had growing up. I looked on the figure guide first of course. No link. So I try the search engine for like 3 years back and get a couple of posts that lead nowhere. I tried all different settings, all gave about the same results. I even tried looking through the appropriate (I thought) forum and searched all 8 pages for a thread to no avail. There has got to be an easier way to find threads about a particular line. Any tips, please?

i am not sure which section you looked in, but it is in the GI Joe/Military section. actionfiguresca.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=GIJoe&action=display&thread=11014You cannot look up anything with less than 4 letters (same on all sites I have seen) and looking up Raiders was the only way I can see to do it. Of course you run into Tomland Raiders, Starroid Raiders and Raiders of the Lost Ark among the 89 listings, but they are there. I suggest using 6 years (rounded off to 2,100 days as a base as well - 350 days a year x 2 = 700, so 6 years is 2,100 which is close to the life of the Forum) and 100 matches as the other option rather than the base setting of 10.

Thanks figurecollector, the 6 years tip is very useful, I appreciate it. I realize that these forums are not designed by the people who run it and don't want to come off like I'm griping about the site. I'm just trying to figure it all out, getting frustrated in the process.

No problem. I have spent a lot of time looking too before I tried what I came across the ideas I expressed.
