What I find very common is whenever I've seen a Boris Bushkin figure with Bulldoze/Bulldog (was named one of the two in the UK for some odd reason) its usually missing his mask, why is that? I really like MASK.

Wow, these pics are making me super jealous! M.A.S.K. was basically the last toy line I was major into before I discoverd girls . I had most of the first series, including Boulder Hill, and some of the second. I had moved on by the time it became the "Racing series". Here's a pic I took as a kid of my some of the M.A.S.K. stuff I had at the time. I circled the Thunderhawk when I posted this on my Facebook earlier today because... M.A.S.K. has been on my "to do" list for a long time, but I've really been trying to focus on Star Wars and G.I. Joe. But yesterday I won a Thunderhawk w/Matt Trakker! I don't really want to collect the whole line, or even get all of the stuff I had as a kid. I just want to pick up 6-8 of my faves, which is what I like to do with these "Sub-lines".

wow , I don't know anyone that (as a kid) would have thought to take photos of toys . That is so awesome that you have that.

I wish I had the smarts to take photos at all back then, let alone my toys. The only toy photos I have is me holding my brand new Kenner Darth Vader and most of the box of my new Lionbot (Voltron).

I really wish my picture taking had been more prolific, but sadly that M.A.S.K. photo, a couple of "action shots" of my Castle Grayskull, a pic of my G.I. Joe Skystriker and one of me posing with a Y-Wing are all that I have.

I have nearly everything from the first two series. I am a Alex Sector Buddy Hawks, and T Bob away from a complete first series. From the second series I need the Hurricane, the Firefly, and Calhoun Burns to complete my Raven.
From the third series I have Billboard Blast, the Bullet, the Meteor, Buzzard, Iguana and Pit Stop Catapult.

I just picked up a big M.A.S.K collection myself the other week. I've still not been right through it. But there is a really nice minty Raven, Thunderhawk and a Stiletto to name a few. Everything was complete and mint apart from Rhino, it's missing the top hatch! So will need to keep my eyes out for one of them! Nice pic by the way, it has that nostalgic cloudyness that today's digital pictures lack

Working on restoring my M.A.S.K collection for myself and my son, managed to find a pristine Booulder hill loose for $20 at a flea market, my 7 yr old plays with it and the few vehicles we have non-stop.

Hi fellow M.A.S.K. fans,
Back in teh 80's I played a lot with several toy lines. But M.A.S.K. was my all time favorite! I didn't had that much M.A.S.K. toys. (T-Bob, Billboard blast, Razorback, Buzzard, VAMPIRE and Detonator.) Regret I gave those away.
Now I want to start collecting the toys. Out of the box but complete. Does anyone know some good connections, stores/webshops in the Netherlands / Europe?
I want to start with a Thunderhawk. Always wanted that one!

Hi, action figure fanatics. Had a quick MASK question- anyone know if the figures had copyright/whatever info on them? Was looking at Matt's kid, and maybe some writing was imprinted on the leg, but I could be wrong. Thanks all.

Scott Trakker I think is retooled or remolded from an early 80s Buddy L school bus student figure. His leg says "KPT 86 TWN."

Oh man, I'm going to have to get a better magnifying glass. Maybe I'll just take a pic and scan it over at a larger size. Thanks.

I love mask and I think it would be a hit if it were a modern toy line. They are vehicles that transform into other vehicles and the guys have masks. Everything about them is cool, even the characters names.

Hasbro was hinting at something forthcoming in 2015 for the 30th anniversary but it either fizzled out or is still in development. Meanwhile, they busted out some Micronauts con exclusives which I can't imagine are more popular than MASK so who knows. A 4" line would be much appreciated. I doubt we could hope for a 6" line with vehicles but hope against hope.

Lol. The side burns are killing me. That's a lot if universes to cross over but a lot of potential for good movies individually there.

Today, Hasbro announced their SDCC crossover set with a new Matt Trakker figure. Also has Roadblock, Jetfire, ROM, Micronauts minifigures, Leoric from Visionaries, and a douchey looking modern Action Man. Pretty crazy set to pull out. The price isn't actually too bad, but Trakker ain't much without his Thunderhawk, is he? Take it that wont be released alongside the set? Action Man could be anyone, tres generic design. Rom, however, and the Dire Wraiths; really cool. I like the 'fabric-sculpt' look to his upper legs. Its also nice they have Rom with proper fingered gloves. Seriously what was the deal with those 80s space-mittens?

I doubt there's gonna be a Thunderhawk just yet simply because these figures are mostly reused parts. The IDW comic vehicles look a lot more modernized from what I've seen--reminds me more of Vor-Tech honestly, not that that'd be a bad thing.

I doubt there's gonna be a Thunderhawk just yet simply because these figures are mostly reused parts. Yeah, it's a shame that they won't likely design and release a Thunderhawk. Or if they did, they'd have to charge a squillion dollars and release it as "some acronym" exclusive, because it might require actual work. I understand the crossover novelty with this set, but sometimes it feels like these toy companies are saying, "we had to climb a Himalayan mountain barefoot and pick magic flowers to bring you this amazing rare plastic product". The figure market may not be what it once was but surely "build it and they will come" still applies.

Yeah, this is all true. I guess slapping a new paint job on old stuff justifies the price, which seems to be what 90% of con exclusives are anyway. I think a whole new MASK line would probably do pretty well though, call me crazy. Not too hard to sell flying gunned up sportscars to new generations of kids and collectors as well as the original fans.

On another topic, I have to say that in terms of the toys, Rhino would have to be the most overrated large vehicle ever made; multiple other vehicles do things it does, only better. Outlaw is a better mobile base. Volcano does a better job of gimmicks for a 2-seater vehicle. Meteor, Goliath and for that matter, the entire split seconds line, do a better job of the 2-in-1 vehicle feature, while both Meteor and Goliath do a better job of the 'air vehicle with ground base support' playset approach.
Oh and the one vehicle I haven't mentioned here, Slingshot? That does a better job of being a mobile base capable of fitting 3 figures, with a rocket propelled glider as air support, while its anti-aircraft rotating mechanical gimmick is a far better fit than a battering ram.
In short, while it's not a bad toy, the biggest thing Rhino has going for it, are nostalgia and casual fans who aren't familiar with alot of the later stuff that came out.

In short, while it's not a bad toy, the biggest thing Rhino has going for it, are nostalgia and casual fans who aren't familiar with alot of the later stuff that came out. Outlaw is larger, but uglier, and can only serve as a stationary base. Rhino can be a rolling beast or a stationary outpost, plus it has the scout vehicle. The battering ram and ejector seat have good play value, although the rocket launcher is quasi-useless since it only shoots straight up (not much less than the Outlaw's artillery, but still). The only other thing the Outlaw has is the grappling gun, and while it has some playability, it all hinges on suspending disbelief that enough of the good guys venture 40 feet in front of an otherwise undefended giant grappling cannon to make the thing tactically useful. And it always annoyed me you have to clip stuff onto the Outlaw too. The back end of the meteor is a grotesque joke, leaving just a smaller jet to be anything cool. The entire Split Seconds line is largely god-awful both in aesthetics and in cheapness of the gimmicks. The best of them are Meteor-esque in thhat there's one good component of the whole toy and one really dopey component. That's strictly taste though. Rhino is overrated, but in the grand scheme of things, not without understanding that there's merit to its popularity without even looking into its iconic stature in the line and in the cartoon. It was just a good, playable toy. There were a lot of misses throughout the line, and I always thought series 1 was fairly weak anyway. The Thunderhawk seems like a pretty lazy design. Gator and Piranha are poorly thought out half vehicles with nothing interesting going on with the shells of them when the smaller vehicles are released. Firecracker was fun and had a lot of play value, but when I look at it I wonder why a truck with lasers needs to be on stilts. Kind of a dorky concept. The Switchblade is legitimately awesome and would be one of the best toys ever if not for those fragile clips that hold the jet wings back. The Jackhammer is also rad. I don't think they really hit their stride until the second series though.
