Anybody have some killer Craigslist scores to talk about?
I posted an ad there looking for old toys and so far all the people who contacted me have been nightmares. Like the lady today who said "let me look the stuff up on eBay first" when I asked her how much she wanted for the stuff she had.
At that point I pretty much said to myself "FORGET IT".

about three years ago a woman near me (i'm in Maryland) posted a pic of a few loose incomplete Secret Wars figures, asking for offers. I made a small offer and she took it, and said she had way more that she had gotten as a box lot at an auction. I ended up getting about 50 figures (Super Powers, Secret Wars, Blackstarr, Thundercats, MOTU, Captain Power, Mighty Crusaders, plus other random 80s stuff) for $25. All of it was mint loose, and most had most accessories. The best figure in the bunch (for me anyways) was Golden Pharaoh from Super Powers!

I've got some newer Jakks RA style wrestling figures on there recently, nothing great, but got them for a fair price. Most CL ventures end up being wild goose chases....at least for me.

I've actually had several big scores recently. I bought a box of Vintage MOTU figures (32 Figs) for $35. Had quite a few accessories, and also contained Mosquitor (complete) and Ninjor (missing bow). I bought another lot several weeks before. That had Castle Greyskull, Snake Mountain, 18 Thundercats, 20 Motu, 8 Silverhawks (5 Complete), and 10 or so other Random figures for $125. The Mother Load came over the weekend when I walked into a local Goodwill and found a box near the register containing 19 TMNT figures all near complete and 18 MOTU figures including a complete Thunderpunch He Man, Skeletor, Regular Heman, and 4 others. I walked out with a total of $57. I nearly had a stroke on that one.

I saw an ad on Craigslist where guy was selling a bunch of random toys, including old 60s GI Joes, Captain Action, and some random MOC figs from the 80s and 90s. The garage sale started at 7am, and I got there right around then to try and beat the crowd (no one else showed up the entire hour I was there). I'm not really into the large Joes, but I managed to find a couple of pretty good figures from the 80s: some Bionic Six, a Supernaturals MOC... some cool stuff but nothing extraordinary.
As I was leaving, I asked him if he had anything else in the house. He said he had one figure he had been trying to sell on Ebay but they kept taking down his auction. I was intrigued, and asked if I could see it, and he disappeared into the house. When he came back, I saw that he was holding a 1984 G1 Megatron MIB. The reason it had been taken down was because he had not put orange tape on the barrel as per Ebay's rules, and he said that frankly he was tired of listing it and just wanted to get rid of it. I nabbed it for a cool $60.
Ever since then, I ALWAYS ask if there is more in the back.

YES!! If they have all that stuff for sale you know they are holding out more!
Always ask for more in the back...or basement, attic etc...

Never got a big Craigslist score, but two of my better ones have been at garage sales asking about other stuff - got a boxful of 1960s joes for CHEAP that way and a box of 80s Joes (including a v2 Snake Eyes and NICE white Storm Shadow) for a little bit.
