This line is based of the cartoon series and kinda reminds me of a cross between Rambo and Ninja Turtles. I see these figures around everywhere, yet I do not own one of them (just a few weapons). I am keeping my eye open for a big lot so I can get them all at once. Check out the figure gallery for this line on the main Website at www.action-figures.ca/chuck_norris.htm

Hi 10 incher. I've got all 3 versions of Chuck Norris mint and carded, including the battle gear, kung fu gi and undercover. Loose, I have those 3 figures in mint condition (in plastic bubbles as they were packaged with. I've also got Kimo in mint, complete with weapons. Also, I have Reed Smith and Super Ninja, which are loose with no weapons, but in good condition. Kenner toys, 1986. Based on the animated series and well-scultped to resemble Chuck Norris.

I just got the 3 Chuck figures and the Black Ninja in the mail the other day from a trade. I was able to match some weapons I already had to them. Anyone who has spare weapons or figures from this line LMK. They should be pretty easy to come by.

I ended up scoring the Karate Corvette on Ebay pretty cheap. It is loose and has some scuffs and so forth, but should look good after I clean it up. I was surprised to see that MIB ones go for more than I thought they would on the Bay.

Congrats on the corvette. I was close to getting a boxed one a few times, but the price kept hitting the $40 mark and i'm not ready to dish out that kinda dough for a relatively common item.

Does anyone know if the second wave of these were produced. I have pics of them in a Kenner dealer catalog. I would love to get a claw fig if it was made. I have never seen them on ebay so I kind of doubt that they actually exist

That is a very cool find thanks for sharing your catalog pictures! I always found the Karate Kommandos alittle interesting considering I big time Ninja fan. It's too bad those second series figures didn't come out cause I would have been interested in them. Any chance on getting a closeup on those pictures of the 2nd series guys?

I love these figures! I have one of the ninja figures. But it doesn't have any articulation at all, and the paint seems...wrong. Most likely a bootleg. Great scans, matt! *thumbs up* Could you send larger versions of the scans to me too? I PM'ed you my e-mail.

I think that the whole running gags about Chuck Norris did help to bring back of his former glory. For most I'm pretty sure it's just a quick joke, but I must confess in my case it brought back memory of old Cannon and American Cinema film and had me look back at some with great fun.
The Octagon is one of the fun one, and indeed an actual toy line of that film or another specific ones could have brought some more interesting toys to the Karate Kommandos.
As much as I like the line, I think apart the ninjas, the sumo and Chuck the figure are a bit generic. In short, I so I found Kimo and Reed Smith cool but still a bit no-name guys, and the costume they gave Chuck are a bit too wacky. Cool black suit ala The Octagon, military as in the Missing in Action series and urbain cowboy ala Lone WolfMcQuade could have been better in my humble view. I think overall Coleco did a much better work with Rambo having both a film character / actor into action figure form and expand the line with broader themed action character. I feel the new character from Rambo have much more personality. Maybe it's due to Rambo figure being based on a specific movie, but I also found the costume are more on the spot and look much less goofy than Chuck's.
Thanks for the link michaelmensinger, always cool to see unproduced piece of vinatge line!

This is just too weird, so I wanted to share it. I love the Karate Kommandos. None of my friends had then when we were kids, and most people don't even remember them. I thought I would never find them all complete, but Sanfords hooked me up with all the ones I had as a kid, and he's hooking me up with 3 more, all complete except the Ninja Serpent. He was and still is one of my favorite toys, especially his red sword. That was the one thing Sanfords didn't have. I have nothing left from my childhood toys. They were all given/thrown away. But I thought I had that sword somewhere, and I just found it! Out of all the toys I had as a spoiled, only child, this one lone sword remains, and it is the only one Sanford was missing. It is pretty beat up and I could use a new one, but I just thought that was quite the coincidence.

Cool find! Didn't he have a foot spike as well or was that only the Super Ninja? I dig the Ninjas from that series so I'm a fan as well.

They're re-molds, and yes, they both have foot spikes. becs also hooked me up with a new TMNT Movie Shredder that fits in very well with the line.

Hey guys, I just scored a MOC Red Ninja Master on ebay. Anyone know how common he and the Ninja Serpent are? They seem more scarce than the Super Ninja & NInja Warrior.
Thanks

That second series Kimo and the henchman were released, but only in South America.
It's possible the others were too but I've only seen Kimo and the henchman.

Wish they would do an upgraded classics line on this but I don't think Kenner is in business anymore? I want a new Super Ninja and his Ninjas!!!

After looking at that Cancelled Klaw figure more closely, it looks like Kenner ended up using that Claw arm for the Terminator Cyber Grip Villain figure. It's even the same color.

It's a little known fact that Chuck Norris's tears can cure cancer. Too bad Chuck Norris never cries.
