Hi everyone, I'm new here but (I first met 10 incher on a MOTU forum).
Out of nostalgia I looked to get back Rambo, Trautman and Sgt. Havok, maybe Gen. Warhawk a few months ago, and now I'm and have a fairly complete loose collection of the common figure.
I really like the amount and quality of the accessories and the mix of movie figure, 1980's action series and militeria / ninja stuff of the whole thing. Thus, I read with much fun the tidbits you shared with us dukeofcrydee! Those catalog photos really help for the smallest accessories, both to know which ones I miss and which goes with who!

Well, since you've been so kind to share, I must do the same with the an also less common piece I got. I just received this animation cel and background from the Rambo animation show, showing our favorite Sergent and Gripper in splendid vivid color: Okay, I just posted it in another tread, but guess I'm proud of it!

I always forget about Rambo. I had the headquarters also. I do have some of the toons on video. I really want to get them on to dvd before the tapes wear out. They released them on DVD lately and the quality is good. Each DVD contain a whooping 11 episodes or so. Thus, with the 6 DVD they put out you have the complete series. For I part I have the first two, which give a good sampler of the series. It's fun, but maybe not enough to get the whole thing.

[On another hand, I recently found back old Rambo toy ad on French Canadian digest sized Archies comics. Both are from 1986 (the comics were anyway). Attack on the S.A.V.AG.E. Headquarter:

Hello, I'm the webmaster of backintoys, french vintage toys forum. I have a question about your muscle power Rambo. Is it a right one or a custom figure? If you go there you will see our topic about Rambo coleco figures with proto card: Hi there! When you say "right one" I'm not sure what you mean. I'll asume you mean is it the real thing from Coleco or just some figure I customized from a normal Rambo. Well, the figure is original from Coleco. As Sanfords said in his reply, my wife worked for Coleco and this is one of the items she grabbed when the company went down. I'll need to take more detailed pics in the future, but built into the top-half of the figure is a mechanism to make his chest "expand". Seems like when you pull down on a lever in his back, something presses against the flexible chest from the inside to make it bulge out a bit. Weirdest damned thing I've ever seen for an action feature on a toy. So yeah, it is officially from Coleco, but I have no idea how close to "final" the figure I have is. From the picture on your site it at least seems like his pants were meant to get a unique paint job. Awesome picture by the way! I've never seen ANYTHING on the Muscle Power Rambo. If you have a larger size of that pic, please post it! If you have any other questions just let me know.

So I'm getting ready to open my Rambo's, and I noticed Gripper had gray bullet belts instead of the yellow ones pictured. I checked the archive here, and Virtual Toy Chest's. They both had gray belts. I remembered him having yellow belts from my childhood. Does anyone have one with yellow belts, or is my mind playing tricks on me? Yellow belts look better, IMO. They match his claw, and remind me of one of my favorite figures, Kadray from Blackstar.

A lot of the cardback and catalog picture and their re-use were taken from prototype model on which the final color changed.
Not just some color, but some sculpt have clearly been retooled before the final products on these shot.
As for Gripper himself, I only saw such picture of him wearing the yellow ammo belt. The one I saw and held all had gray belt so far. Argentina realised Rambo figure had many color variation, maybe their Gripper had yellow belt.

He does remind of Rambo, M-Force, some type of Madison figure? Are there any markings on him at all Mog?
Whatever he is I think he is cool looking. My Rambo Turbo could use a friend, lol.

It's Sergeant Havoc from the Coleco Rambo line, but with major color variations. The original is a white guy with brown hair, a white tank top and camo pants. I know the Josca company produced Rambo figure in Argentina, many with color alteration. This one look likely like one of these, ado I never saw him before. EDIT: Found some infos about the Josca Rambo and it don't seem that this Sgt Havoc was part of the line: www.amosdelretro.com.ar/index.php?opt=Infserie&Codigo=30

I always new that in Argentina, they re-released most of the Rambo series with variations and such. Also there was a re-release of some of the figures in "Sound FX" packaging (they came with a backback that played sounds).
However, one thing I recently found out about was that a "Desert Squad" series of figures was also released in Argentina. Not sure how many figures were in the series, but I have a few coming in from a seller from Argentina. Two are full camo repaints of Rambo with all different accessories including a helmet and cloth clothing as well as a different version of Col. Trautman. Will post some pics when I get them in.
