Back in the day, I had these wrestlers that were labeled as "Wrestlers of the World". They were the kinda short, stocky type of figures that came in two packs. I remember a pack of masked guys called the "Masked Devils", black boot and yellow boot. Also a guy named "Dr. Death". They also had a red ring the same size as the old AWA Ring. Anyone know who made them or have any info at all?

Dr. death was actually called dr. fear these toys where made in the '80 by Sparkle they were also released on single cards.....................
I think you should search a bit more on these boards perhaps using the search function cause i'm quite sure there's more info on them here.
But here's a start there where 8 figures:
Super Sam from San francisco Terrible tom Tomahawk Fearless frenchie Tennessee terry Masked devil yellow boot Masked devil black boot Dr. Fear Bad boy from bag dad

Did any of these come with belts? I picked up a Tennessee Terry and he had a blue singlet and a gold, single cast belt with a torch on it. I wasn't sure if that was the belt used for that line, it looked a little more like an old boxing belt for a Rocky knockoff.

Probably the best looking belts out of all the Knock Off Wrestling lines. Here is my collection with some of the belts. I remember having these as a kid and that they came one package with all the figures and the ring! I've never seen that package ever again. I could only imagine how much that would go for.

Wow, great photo. That is the belt I do have, very interesting belt for the figure line. Gives it a very European, old-school look. Definitely sets it apart from other belts. I did not know they made singles of the figures as I have seen the set with the ring before but not the singles. The packaging is fantastic. I notice the photos on the back are in color, did not see that a lot in knock offs in my day. I notice some of the boots have color at the top, I wonder if there are any figures with those as a variant or if that would mean those would be the prototypes?

I also noticed that Tomahawk has a Mohawk on the card, while the actual figure has a ponytail. I've never seen that figure with a Mohawk.

Here are two customs my wife did for these Wrestlers of the World. I do not have the original outfits and she thought that Frenchie looked like a cowboy. This is what she whipped up for me. Attachments:

Has anyone noticed this? Frenchie's rip-off has 2 variants. Love the blonde hair/black mustache.
