no riders...just the creatures...made to be compatible with MOTU and Warlord/Warrior Beasts...

I have the first one and the one of the two-headed dragons. This is also one of those toys I didn't care much for as a kid but obviously now they're pretty cool. I wonder how many there are?

I vauguely remember seeing these in stores like K-Mart and Woolworths but as a kid I didn't think much of them either.
I was really into MOTU and veiwed all the similar figs as inferior - mostly because they lacked the back story, advertising, and popularity that MOTU had.
The only exception to my non-MOTU bias were the Warlord figures. I always thought Warlord looked awesome and that the vinyl clothing the figures had was neat. I wasn't really reading comics at that point so I didn't know Warlord had a really stong comic book following.
Looking back, it would have been great to have more BattleCat-like beast for my figures back in the day.

yeah, i remember these in Kmart back in the day...actually had one of those "rush" memories when i first saw these beasts on the net...they are pretty cheap, but still pretty cool, they do a good job of straddling that line...i will deffinately pick some of these guys up if i ever run into them at a good price...i dig 'em, the more mounts the better i say...

Hi, I have two dragons a green one with an orange saddle and a purple one with a golden saddle, this is a great line, two of my Galaxy Fighters are riding the dragons . I was tracking down information about this creatures and I found that there were 2 lines: Dragons Knights and Daggers · Battle Chariot Set · Sabertooh Serpent · Rhino Avenger And the Two-Headed Dragon. I don't know its real name. this line also included accesories for the 5.5" figures. Robots, Lasers and Galaxies · Battle Bison and Combat Cruiser Set · Battle Charger · Mammoth Marauder MIB figures included the legend: "Scaled to size for play with all fantasy figures". So, I suppose that there were no figures in this line, just creatures. Here's a picture I found with some MIB ones:

Sweet! Thanks for sharring all the pics. That Mammoth looks huge! There is something cool about generic mounts and weapons made to fit various fantasy lines - it's kinda like troop building your GI Joe or SW collection.

I have a different two headed dragon than the one above. Are these figures hard plastic or kinda soft? The dragon I have is made of a softer rubber (kinda like a squeeze toy) and is grey (I think). I will have to get a pic up. I also have pics of the 2 accessory packs that Imperial put out.

I also have a two headed dragon from Imperial that looks like it wasn't from this line. The mounts above have harder rubber bodies than the random dragon I think you are refering to. They aren't made of the ABS-like plastic used for Battle-Cat but they seem more durable because their bodies have a small amount of "flex".

I took this pic from Ebay , the item description just said "Imperial Dragons", I think they look more like toon dragons, but I like them a lot. The ones you have looks like these two?

Thats the guy, the top one! He's not solid rubber but not super soft either. He does give when you squeeze him somewhat.

CRAP!!!! I have the Battle Chariot Set but I threw in all of the weapons with a lot of MOTU stuff that I sold on EBAY a while back. I had no idea it came with weapons.

You can get the weapons in almost every part lots you buy. However I'll buy the chariot if having it without the weapons will keep you up at night.

I was looking at the chariot picture when I noticed that the orange scabbard on the side looked familiar. I dug through some boxes and found one. Was this scabbard designed for any weapon in particular, or does it hold multiple weapons at the same time? It is a pretty big scabbard!

Those chariots are way to cool...watch out cause I will be on the snipe for them on ebay now... ;D...I have the rhino and dragon with saddles already, and that elephant rocks!!!
I am glad to see that they are all zapped strapped...when I got my two (rhino and dragon) thought that someone had broken the strap they came with and use a zap strap to keep them on.

Got Some pics of what probably are knock offs from the imperial lines, all figures are marked china except the tyranosaur in the thirt picture he's marked hongkong. I think they are knock offs because imperial is based in Hong Kong when I'm right. The last one, the big tyranosaur could be godzilla or a knock off from the eighties. Anyways I'd like to here your visions about therm, the one with the three heads is my favorite.

The last one is generally regarded as a Godzilla knock off, although he doesn't have the spines on his back.
I love that Chinese Dragon style one and the three headed one is kinda cool as well

Picked this up from an old lady at a flea market - she told me she worked in a large toy store in the 80s (Auckland New Zealand) that this was a sample and the toy was not sold in NZ shops www.tuatara.gen.nz/dragon-1.jpgthe gold chariot has two holes in the top right hand side that look like something would fit in there?

Hmmm - tried to fit chariot to yellow dragon and it does not fit while the blue dragon is a perfect fit pic above shows a saddle with yellow dragon also have not seen a pic of gold chariot and yellow dragon boxed or the gold chariot at all - maybe someone has a blue dragon boxed pic?

well first you have the part that goes around the dragon on wrong. it goes on the spine not across the chest. the blue one you have was not ever included with a chariot or a saddle the yellow was release with both and in many color schemes. but it does look good how you have it.

thanks KO Messiah - these are pretty rare down my way - looks like there is a scabbard or a club attached on the right hand side missing on my chariot.
