From what I've seen from poking around this site, it looks like you folks may be my last best hope for identifying this figure. Not that there's really anything to "identify"--I mean, I know his name, though I can't remember the name of the knock-off line he comes from. What I'm wondering is if anyone can recognize what he's a knock-off of. And what is the deal with that head?

The line he is from is Wrestling Champions and he is a knock off wrestler, hence the belt. I have 2 and the backs show they are numbered 338 - 1 to 338 - 6 and 339 - 1 to 339 - 12.

Wow, the card art is such a blatant rip-off of 80s LJN WWF packaging - love it!

I just found these 3 figures. I found a little info on the masked guy and decided he was a "Cumberland Toys" wrestling champ. (Please correct me if I am wrong). As for the other 2 I am at a loss. I have found similar ones but not exact matches. The dark haired with beard guy has "Sungold" on his back, V boots and bumpy wrist bands. The Indian fellow has on "Hong Kong" on his lower back. Any help with identifying these is greatly appreciated!! \m/ Attachments:

These are my collection of Wrestling Champions and the Official Ring. They tend to have China or Hong Kong or nothing stamped on the back. They also come in different shades of color and heights. The wrists only come in black or red; the trunks in blue, green or red; and the boots in black, blue, red, green and yellow. The green and yellow boots seem to be the least common from what I have seen. Here is a carded Wrestling Champion figure. Here is the back of the card. I am only missing 338/2 & 338/6. If anyone has one to sell, please PM me. Here is a different kind of Wrestling Champion card. This is the card back of that one.

It looks like you already have 18 figures in your ring for the Wrestling Champions line. Here is a different ring for them: Is this 338-2?

Yeah I have 18, but 2 don't match the card back, but have the exact same body as the rest and are interchangeable with others. The one on the front in the middle with black hair and the Hogan look alike on the right don't appear on the back. The 2 I am missing seems to have a mop top hairstyle (338/2) and another one is bald with no facial hair (338/6). I have seen 338/6 in another thread. He apparently has white eyebrows and has a small head and looks to have the same face as the gray hair guy with his hair slicked back (338/5). Here is the thread he appears in. actionfiguresca.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Cartoons&action=display&thread=10221Reply #8 by Partsman, the 4th pic. I have never seen 338/2, so I don't what he actually looks like, but I would like to have him and the bald guy to complete my collection. That 2 pack above seem to be the same elongated version figures as the second carded figure I posted. Pretty cool! I have never seen those.

Is this 338-2? No, He is 339/2. He is the same one I have carded.

From your photo, I assumed he had black or some shade of dark boots.

From your photo, I assumed he had black or some shade of dark boots. He does have black boots. These figures come in mixed colors. You will always see the same guy with any mix of black, blue, green, red, or yellow. The blonde guy in the front with blue trunks and red wrists & boots, I have another one of the same guy with green trunks and black wrists & boots. Same thing for the guy with the eye patch. I have him in blue trunks and black wrists & boots as well as with red trunks with black wrists and blue boots. They are very random in colors.

Never seen it before.. I have seen a few of those with the long legs. They are usually made with the same heads as the Madison Wrestling Champions using their color scheme. They have solid plastic heads unlike the hollow rubber ones from the Madison line. Don't know what their name is though. He could probably be a custom though.

Here is a more detailed layout of the Wrestling Champions. You could see how the colors vary from figure to figure. The same figure could come in different color combination. I also put their ID number next their head so you can see who is who. The ones on top with 33X/X are from the 1st card back and the ones on the bottom with 833/X are from the 2nd card back. I am only missing 833/4. I added some unknown and custom figures to the mix. The ones on the bottom are a variation of the 2nd carded figure. These guys are solid like the ones on top, but have the look of the ones in the 2nd card. The carded figure is hollow and slightly taller. I have only 2 in this condition 833/4 & 833/5.

Those are great, but when you mentioned in a previous post that there were different colors, I thought you were just saying that figures themselves came in assorted colors of trunks, not that there were variants of each figure in different colors. That makes it even more difficult to find them all, along with the confusing issue as to whether they are Wrestling Champions or some other sort of knockoff or bootleg.

Basically the bodies are all the same. Same trunks, same boots, same wrist bands. The only thing that changes is the head and the colors. The colors are always solid with no fancy designs. Madison Wrestlers are the fancy ones with cool designs. All of the ones I have in the pictures above come in packages that say either "Wrestling Champions", "Champion Wrestling", or "Wrestler Champion".

That really makes a difference to see them instead of just a plain drawing on the back.
Happy Birthday, too.
