Yes, these shots are from the DVDs released in England. As for more monsters there weren't really any more except for the Gagoyle and some of Ssslither's warriors. The Gagoyle was featured at the end of the episode 'Negative Polarity' when Blackthorne Shore and Nightcrawler relesed him and that was on the US DVDs. Here is a picture of him eating. Lol.

It makes no sense why the US release is missing the final episodes I guess its time to get a region free DVD player and visit amazon UK.

Thanks for the pics! Man, that Saber armor is.......unique. The creatures are cool though. My understanding on the DVD release is that Rhino only had the episodes that were released on VHS. That's why we're missing the last 4 eps.

I remember loving this cartoon as a kid. It seemed very mature and spooky vs. everything else on the air during that period. I also remember being disapointed by the figures.
Aside from the large scale figs like Metlar, the sculpting and proportions on the others seemed weak. I got the Herk Armstrong fig and could never get over the tiny head, the legs being to close together, the fact that his pelvis was "V" shaped (typically used for female figs) instead of "T" shaped (typically used for male figs), and that one leg was longer than the other (so standing was an issue).
The cartoon was great advertising but for me, the toy product just didn't deliver. I would love to see this concept re-explored with today's toy tech.

I was recently browsing Wikipedia and searched for Inhumanoids. The article was excellent and fairly in depth and also contained a picture of the original line of Inhumanoids figures from a retail catalogue. If you look at it; note how different the figures are here; than from the ones released! What do you guys make of this?

I've only recently become aware of the Inhumanoids line. I kept seeing the large figures in peoples collection pics and thought they looked pretty cool.
So I've kept an eye on ebay and managed to score a large Inhumanoids collection, including two of the large figures, at a very good price
The big guys are great, they should have a nice shelf pressence once I find space for them. The smaller rock-like figures are kinda cool too, all be it with weird articulation.
Big thanks to all those who's collection pics inspired this purchase, now where can I find a cheap D-Compose...
(btw, never had any interest in the trees or humans, plus I got a few duplicates, so there'll be a thread in marketplace soon )

I've never caught the show but I did get a few DVD's in the lot, including what I think is the entire series on UK release, so I'll rectify that soon
I'm actually keeping a couple of duplicate trees in case they grow on me once I've watched it, but the humans are just kinda lame, good show or not

When i was younger i used to buy vhs tapes. They had ones for sale in Scotland with a bunch of different shows on them. One time i got one with a GI Joe episode, Inhumanoids episode and it finished with a Transformers episode. I had never heard of Inhumanoids before. So i watch it and loved it but it was the only episode i ever saw as i could find no other tapes with episodes of it on them. So not long after that i was in hospital for a check-up with my Gran. Afterward she took me to a shop called What Everyone Wants (UK Store) and on the shelf were Inhumanoids figures. She bought me an Auger for being a good boy at the Hospital. Soon after that my cousin traded me Liquidator for some of my GI Joes. I also managed to get my hands on the blue guy with green claws. I really liked those figures especially Auger. I don't think i will collect them as i would be starting from scratch but the memory of those figures and using them against GI Joes and Star Wars figures and vehicles is fun. They looked great, had some cool weapons and villains. If the show had been easier to get hold of on tape or if they actually showed it on TV in Scotland it might have been easier to get the toys. A lot of figures and toys were like that in Scotland. If it was from an American show we got it about a year later. Some shows actually did better in the UK than in the states but because the show was made in the states they did not make more for the european market. That's what happened with Visionaries and Starcom. Both shows were huge in the UK but because they didn't do well in the States they didn't make more Series of them. Bummer.

you can get Inhumanoids on DVD. I believe Europe has the complete show available. As for the toys, it is a small set, and fairly cheap to complete, although it can take some time.

Yup it did, the animation was very similar to GI Joe and Transformers. It was really fun but i only ever saw the one episode. I wanted to see other episodes so bad but none of my friends ever saw it either or had any of the toys.

About Inhumanoids... is it just me or D-Compose is rather hard to find as a figure? Oh! I don't collect them, I'm not such a fan of those, but I'm curious. The othet big guy... Mattlar... Madler... the brown one with an armor on his belly seems to be relatively easy to find... But D-Compose? I only know him from an old catalog add dating from 1988.

I never owned any of the creatures or vehicles, just 3 of the human characters. I've never seen the other figures or vehicles in a store other than pictures online.

D- Compose is the tougher to find of the 3 large figures, though he does pop up every once in awhile - wouldn't consider him rare or anything though.

Breathing some new life into this thread. I recently purchased some unique Inhumanoids figures on Ebay and thought I would share. These are custom figures that reflect updated versions of the Earth Corps. Cool thing is, the team who made these used many of the original toy parts (heads, helmets, weapons, and lots of the little details were either dremeled off or molded). As a figure customizer myself, I've never purchased another cutomizers work but these were a must have. I always loved the large scale monsters but was disapointed in my Corps figs - If they had looked like this in the 80s I'd have killed for them. Check out Boskoes.com to see their cool updates on figure series like AD&D, Silver Hawks, Crystar, Dino Riders and BraveStarr.

Those are probably the best customs i have seen in a long time. Incorporating the original figures into newer versions. And they look so damn bulky too which is cool. I have to admit though i prefer the older Auger figure where his suit looks like muscle tissue. He always was and always will be my fave Inhumanoid.

It's the very first time I see Tendril. Is he a rare piece that has been released after the others (Metlar and D-Compose) or is it because I'm an Inhumanoid ignorant who needs more research?

Ludevig - Yeah, what puts these over the top is the seamless incorporation of vintage parts. The suits have a uniformity that makes the Earth Corps look more like a team but keep lots of the unique aspects that made each toy distinct. Auger did loose his armor's texture but I love how the outer chest aparatus was rendered and the paint job is solid.
These figures are 7" tall so they look really big and have heft when handeled. To me, these larger suits make it clear that the suit wearer's whole body is positioned in the torso and that the suit's arms and legs are controlled remotely. The figures inside aren't removable but if they were, they would be the same size as an old GI Joe figure. These suits are like walking tanks now and look like they could be functional in underground exploration or combat.
Bowheadwhale - Tendril is OG! He is one of the unholy trinity that make up the Inhumanoids.

I will admit the newer armour on Auger looks fantastic, i just preferred the feel of the original armour. Made it unique as the others looked like they were made of metal where Augers looked almost organic.

I think if I were doing the customizing myself, I would have incorporated some nod to the sinewy texture that Auger's suit had. If not the texture, I might have added some over the shoulder/back mounted ordinace to make him look a little different than the rest.
That said, I really like the re-designed Auger figure for what it is - a member of a team that utilizes a basic armor frame that is modified by each individual member to leverage their specific skill set. It's like Tony Stark didn't know what to do with the Iron Monger design because he'd given up on military applications (and the Monger is so overtly combat oriented). Earth Corps approaches him looking for a grant and he does them one better, "hey, think you guys could put this exo-suit to good use?".

Here is a treat for fans of this line. I wanted to wait until the auction ended to post in case someone here was bidding. The Auctioned ended at $355 and makes me long for the days you could track people down by their Ebay ID - this guy must be a serious fan/collector who might have other gems stashed away. Below are pics of the actual card for a series 2 figure that could have been, the evil scientist, Night Crawler. He is a great character in the cartoon and would have made for a fun toy.

Back to the Inhumanoids re-vamp. So I shared some pics of the updated Earth Corps figures Boskoes created and wanted to share the updated Metlar I made. The new Corps figures are so modernized they don't display quite right with the vintage villans. So I'm correcting this one figure at a time.
